Please note that if you're trying to access Facebook and receive an error this is due to Facebook, and not an issue with your Crystal Web account.

Our monitoring systems caught this one. ;)

Why is it that as soon as the 1st comes around, the terrible fluctuating speeds on my line become "Exchange congestion" according to CrystalWeb support.

And i almost blew a blood vessel now trying to get a port reset on my line from Telkom.
Telkom guy on the phone: "We don't do port resets" ... Sigh ...

If you post the results here we will not comment at all and allow other users to either confirm the exchange issues or tell us we're talking nonsense. We hate accusing Telkom because it means it's out of our hands at that point. It's not something we do by default, and certainly not something we like telling customers either. :(

But it would be pretty irresponsible of us to pick it up and not tell you about it. Either way, we're damned if we do, damned if we don't.

Ag nee ouens :( I thought things would be sorted by now. Got disconnected 3 times from Star Trek Online before I was even at the lobby, rubberbanding in the lobby.Totally unplayable. I'm back on one of my free 1gb accounts now. This is taking ages...

Path of Exile latency is in the 300 region, which is a bit laggy and nothing as amazing as the smooth, sub-200ms I was getting this morning.

I think i didn't convey my point properly.

I was trying to say that before today every time i had a speed issue CW support said it was on the account end and nothing on my end, but suddenly today its my exchange. I just find it hard to believe especially when you guys have access to my exchange data thus i just expected more information then "Your exchange is congested".

Either way, i just redid the two tests i send them earlier today.

Maybe i am just talking rubbish and it is congested?
If so i do apologize.

Getting TERRIBLE speeds on nntp.... My Afrihost and Temp IS account were running at 8Mb/s... currently I'm lucky if I spike to 2Mb/s... not impressed, been going on like this for over a month now.

Well, end of the first day on Crystal Web and I can say my account has been excellent for browsing, general use and streaming a movie from http://movieshd.co/. Still have to test in game latency, but I'll do that end of next week when I have a little more time to relax :)

i actually just asked for a refund, the speeds are horrendous. And the support already seems to be going trough a stupid checklist , pathping seems to be their choice for everything.

Get it trough your heads its u! not me or my exchange or my equipment. Other accounts i tested all work shap soos pap. Tell me straight up our ipc is overloaded, malema sabotaged something but stop trying to find fault with me!

browsing is still very sluggish

EDIT: pings seem very high too, might be line related, it's been fkcy since the semi-botched upgrade was fixed me thinks

Steam download coming in at 44kb/s. Torrent running at around 144 kbs. Not the best speeds for my first night of downloads

Sigh ...
Dunno i normally just phone them and say reset my port now....and they do it lol.

It would seem a lot of people are complaining of slow(er) speeds today... mine certainly not the best either... I've now been on a 2Hr chat with CW support, not gotten any further, even with a new account. I personally think, in my mind, that some geographical regions do not take well to the way Cybersmart routes their traffic, or there is congestion somewhere on the network.

I still stand firmly behind the belief that the IS account I had was A LOT superior to the one I have now.

I'm trying to be patient and understanding, but that patience is now running out slowly but surely.

Anyway - I'll see how this pans out in the next couple of days.

they should stop saying it's fixed when it isn't, people are really getting annoyed with it

(my speeds great though so carry on with whatever your doing with western cape lol)

I have yet to actually see them say its "fixed"..

They've said fixes have been implemented and they're being tested and tweaked constantly by all parties involved.

Also, don't get me wrong, I want decent fast internet, but they haven't actually launched yet so we're still the guinea pigs to this whole thing, and I have no doubt that the month or two of degraded performance we have to deal with will be well rewarded in the end.

This I can accept, but every time talking to their support its the same old pathping crap. Stop that and just tell me listen we are buggered atm. Gives me the feeling they are thinking I'm 5 or an idiot.

But then they should have let us test their network for free :-)
