Hmmm not sure what the difference between D3 and Defiance would be regarding bandwidth, but I can give it a shot. Would be nice to have the best of both worlds in one package though. :)

I'm having my line managed by Axxess (yeah I know it is a mistake), but I get 5GB with that which I use for gaming. I would still like to use my CW account though, would like if I can get a little better ping in FFXIV as the server is hosted in NA, and every little bit helps.

Confirmed the techies are working on your line fault at the exchange as of 30 minutes ago.

Ok I was asked by support to do a path ping to the 2 defiance servers. Since a client connects me to these 2 servers and google is not of much help now, is there a piece of software that will tell me to what IP this client is connecting to?

If you are using Windows, join a game in Defiance, Alt-Tab, Control-R, Run Resmon, go to network and look what the IP is.

Doing this at the top of my head so I might skipped something.

When connected to the game, open up Windows Task Manager, then open up the resource monitor. expand the network section, and check which server is making the connection and to what IP address it's connecting to.

Alternatively, hop on to live chat, ask for Shaun, and with your permission I'll pull the data off our servers to see which address connections the game is making and I'll help out.

Ahh great thank you very much, I will try that if I don't get it right on my side.
 
Both of those are options as well.. and easier than Wireshark which will be RB-pimp an information overload...

Yup, that worked GREAT. With the US server I saw the IP's were different when I joined the server the second time.

US 208.94.27.161/176

Telefonica Wholesale need to get their %&#& together. Your game's EU server routes via US servers before hopping back over the pond into Spain where the servers appear to be hosted. High latency over this sort of a network design is inevitable.
