Also I can actually get 20Mbps adls2+ becuase the exchange support it BUT my distance makes it impossible. I can however reach 14 or 15Mbps but TelkomZA phoned me and told me that if the DP is more than 1.6KM away from the exchange it does not matter what the line stats looks like Telkom will reject the order. Its a blanket ban like and even if your line is capable of it they won't allow it.

So I was wondering as a reseller do you guys have a say in that or are you guys at the mercy of Telkom here aswell.

I only use Netflix and it's perfect

I know its honeymoon period... But one can dream right?

They'll probably reject it when we do the line speed upgrade. But it would be an interesting test as we talk directly to the Telkom systems. Not sure about this one to be honest.

Playstation as it's already available with a selection of second hand games and can swap games with other forumites never mind that it is currently outselling the xbox 3 to 1.

Android as this is a technology forum and not a hair salon.

A while back you were not able to restrict line speed on your uncapped accounts. Have you managed to implement this yet?

I have no need for it anymore given the level of performance you have provided, but asking anyway if the need arises again..

Yes we can, but only in certain increments as per Telkom's line speed. The need for custom speeds is so minute that it hasn't made sense to try to look at changing this just yet. It's one helluva process by the way, as the concurrent connections on some accounts requires the sync speed of the line and not the account as there is a single account sharing bandwidth.

Ah understood. But if I were to have, for example, an uncapped 2meg account on a 4 mb line, CW would be able to limit this to 2mb? I ask this because I remember being told that if you line speed is higher, you account will automatically be upgraded and you will have to pay for the increased speed obviously.

Newer customers may not be aware...

Oooh, we have some cool stuff coming in this regard as well. Right now, we can limit it to 2Mbps for you on this sort of package, and with the Telkom speed standards changing once again, we may even offer the speed upgrades for free as well. But ssshhh, you didn't hear that from us. :D

Wish Telkom can upgrade my line. Been stuck on 4mbps for the past 6 years.

For the majority a Xbox would be better. My reason is, because the whole system is pc and win8 based and because it will have a Jtag option soon you can do so much more legal things with it that a ps could ever wish for. These are the things I look into though and not which console is the most popular and so.

Android, because it's just better. Don't have to look at the same old BORING interface every day. Mostly it has all the apps apple does and if not there are a bunch of alternatives. You can replace the battery yourself in most phones. You wont pay R10000 for 2 year old technology (I am sure if CW would give a prize away that they would rather give something away that is of this years technological advances and not 2 years ago.).

Pirate to the end I see :)

You reminded me of another reason thanks. As the xbox is so pc like most of the games are on pc. So no real reason for it as many of us here have gaming ocs.
