Crystal Web (NEW ISP) ADSL Feedback

Always a pleasure. Glad you got sorted out and it wasn't us.

I feel the problem with other ISPs using certain excuses for their poor performance is that it bleeds over to us a little on occasion. Luckily we didn't seem to suffer the same troubles as many other ISPs did during the iOS updates other than very occasional slower than usual downloads only, and at certain times of day.

I'm a new CW user so apologies if this has been covered before. I have been receiving a daily usage stats email and I have also been able to log into the temporary portal referred to in the mail. The question I have is around reference to allowance and data allowance.

The email refers to an allowance of 100GB and reflects my usage as a percentage of this figure (I'm on a 4Mbps line so I assume that this is a reference to my unshaped portion of CW magic).

When I log into the portal, there is reference made to a 'Data Allowance' of 200GB and my usage is indicated as a percentage of this figure. What does this 200GB represent in the context of an uncapped account?

I can see they are cybersmart resellers, overall good performace but streaming still battles with hulu

I would also like an answer on this?
I think my usage will be higher this month.

My daughter is home form Varsity and she has a couple of things that needs updating and there are at least 3 games on Playstaion Plus this month that I will download.

Only guessing here, but I assume that could be anything between 20 - 40GB for the 3 games.

Why is it that I get a warning everytime I want to access the Customer portal?

You attempted to reach support.crystalweb.co.za, but instead you actually reached a server identifying itself as admin.footprintseducation.in. This may be caused by a misconfiguration on the server or by something more serious. An attacker on your network could be trying to get you to visit a fake (and potentially harmful) version of support.crystalweb.co.za.

Still asks me if I are a agent

any usage email you receive is going to be incorrectly formatted as they are from the wrong systems. The customer portal systems are still being tested. Live chat support can always give you an update on usage.

I get the same. Spoke to an agent via live chat and was told to email support with all queries. Apparently live chat is not operational as yet.

Apologies - there's a bit of a technical glitch with support system at the moment. Working on getting it sorted out as soon as possible. Apologies about this.

That mail shouldn't be going out as that portal is deprecated. Apologies. We will be releasing the final, accurate customer portal for all customers within the month.
