Anyone having really bad latency / speed to international site / gaming server fibre via crystalweb ?

Feels like this has been going on for a couple of months now.
 
I finally gave up with CW last night and signed for a data only account with Cool Ideas while waiting for CW to release my fibre line back into the holding pool. R500 for the rest of the month is a small price to pay for not having to wait for CW to sort themselves out. I have waited the beter part of 6 months for them to make some arrangement with a Usenet server and during that time I have been on the receiving end of slow international speeds on multiple occasions, sometimes for more than a day - like this time ....

You have to have enough spare bandwidth with another provider in case your main provider falls over, as Evonet did this weekend.

So does that mean I can use my existing Fibre line from Open Serve for a data only account from a different ISP? I also canceled CW yesterday for exactly the same issues. Will be signing up with CISP.

Yeap you can, but obviously you will be paying for both until the line is transferred.

Thank you Paul. I have an open order with you which should become active at month end. If I want a data only account in the meantime do I simply order online?

Yeap just reach out to the connect team and mention you would like a data only account until month end when your line gets moved over, let me know if you have any issues.

I've also had it with CW... They've been generally good but for the past month or so, things have turned sour. Always issues with this or that.
Looking for another Vumatel ISP to take by business to...

Since they changed from Internet Solutions to this Evonet rubbish, its been going from bad to worse...

Waiting for my first salary and going off...enough is enough....

P.S.I am barely browsing mybroadband.co.za and 4x4community on a 20/20 line.....it feels as if I'm on 128 Kbps ISDN...:mad:
 
Can't even get a connection now. I'm moving all my clients and myself to Axxess end of the month!

Its funny webafrica tried it and failed miserably as well, so will cw.

Do it yourself from the vuma portal

Yup. You cancel the current package on the Vuma portal, sign up for the new one and then you can fast track activation by calling the CISP connect team.

Done.
