Hi guys

got my username and password, connecting int hat my modem says I'm connected, and the support guy he can see me, I got a IP address, but not getting to any web site,

Def not firewall, totally disabled.

On MWEB I had to specify a VLAN tag of 835 for VDSL.

Does anyone have a draytek connected to CW?
Or can send me all their configuration settings.

G

Hi There, Please see settings below, if you don't come right send us an email or hop on live chat and we can assist further.

VLAN Settings:
Active: Yes
802.1p : 0
802.1q : 835

Protocol: PPPoE
Multiplexing method: LLC based
VPI: 8
VCI: 35

Send screenshot of settings without username and password. Also the connection status page

Please see below, was for substantial time online with your support, the instant chat makes it a bit difficult since to have that I have to have old ISP values configured, as such not allowing me to connect to router and try things. Support via phone is easier, will only be able to try late/clsoe to 5pm tomorrow afternoon again.

Rally want this to work the wknd.

Hi all

Just an update, strangest problem.

First I was switching ISP's, from Mweb to CW... things worked 100% on MW, not on CW, only change was username and password.

in the end I traced it down to my firewall, further digging and I found it was only devices in one IP Group, my iPad's and laptop. Once I restarted these devices so that they got their assigned ip's via the MAC/IP binding rules everything worked.

PS: for all the help Dean from SD Group, local agents for Draytek.

Hi George,

Happy to see that you managed to trace the infringing firewall rule. Feel free to give us a shout if you run into any further queries.

Have a good week ahead.
