I am with Axxess. 20MB line with 40GB cap. Free data from midnight to 6AM.

Can I purchase ADSL data from Crystalweb at R249 for 150GB data and free data from midnight to 6PM to work on my fibre line?

Reason I ask, is because my ADSL 1GB free account from axxess works on my fibre line.

If so, this would mean its cheaper to do this than get Line and data from Crystalweb. 20MB+150GB capped account is R899 from Crystalweb.Currently I pay Axxess R639 for my line and 40GB cap. Add the R249 if Crystalweb lets me use the data on a fibre line and that means my monthly bill is R888 which is cheaper than Crystalweb (for the combined account of data and line) plus I get an additional 40GB of data.

I believe any data will work regardless of whether it's fibre or ADSL.

PS: How does the Axxess capped data perform for you?

They are not accurate with their data calculations. Dont be surprised when GB of data is simply gone from your account. Performance wise though, it seems damn good. Full speed 90% of the time with slow downs never being less than 70% of your line speed.

So contacted Crystal web via the live chat. Confirmed that the DSL data can be used on Fibre. Signed up with them last night. And its been amateur hour since then. Jeepers. I now remember why I left them when they started.

Apologies if I am hijacking the thread here......

Anyone know if the Crystalweb guys are still on here?

I recently signed up with them to take advantage of their R1 ADSL data promotion (the 500GB xTREME Home Capped package). And while the data packages do work with my Telkom fibre line (100mb), the max speeds appear to be limited to 40mb (it's the fastest vdsl capped package that they had available). If you're on a 20mb line, you shouldn't have any trouble.
