Are the returning Proteas players going to play in this competition at all?

I found this thread way too late! applied to join the superbru anyway.

will most likely be going to the Titans Warriors game at supersport park on the second. its right around the corner from work so I might as well right?

Remember to practice the one handed catch before going :D

Going into the final league fixtures, the log is as follows:

  1. Titans (24 points, 2 matches remaining)
  2. Warriors (23 points, 3 matches remaining)
  3. Lions (16 points, 3 matches remaining)
  4. Dolphins (15 points, 2 matches remaining)
  5. Cape Cobras (12 points, 3 matches remaining)
  6. Knights (5 points, 3 matches remaining)

The top two are almost certainly going to be the Titans and Warriors. Warriors currently have the advantage, trailing by 1 point but with a game in hand. The team finishing top will be guaranteed a place in the final (and will host it), while the team finishing second will host the qualifier.

Three teams have a realistic chance at being the second team in the qualifier: Lions, Dolphins and Cape Cobras. Lions currently have the advantage here, while Sunday's win for the Cape Cobras over the Dolphins gave the Cape Cobras an outside chance and simultaneously placed the Dolphins' chances in jeopardy.

Knights still have a mathematical chance of getting to the qualifier if a) they pick up 3 bonus point wins, b) Lions do not win any of their remaining matches and c) Dolphins and Cape Cobras win no more than 1 of their respective remaining matches -- but the chances of this happening are extremely remote.

All 6 teams are playing on Wednesday, which will give us a clearer indication of how things will end up.
