Dear players,

I'm currently busy with my PhD in IT and require CSGO players of various skill levels (from beginner to pro) to assist me in my study's first phase. I require respondents to complete a survey, where I collect your hardware settings (mouse and monitor) as well as in-game settings that you use to play CSGO.

The survey can be accessed on the following link: http://bit.ly/csgophd and should take about 3 to 6 minutes to complete. The aim of my study is included as part of the survey's introduction page.

Sorry for the bump, but can everyone who indicated their participation please just check their emails? I sent an email on 27 Feb 2023 for the next phase of the study, but it appears as if the email did not reach everyone.

I sent an individual email to each interested participant again this afternoon.

Hi everyone,

Apologies for the post bump, but I'm still looking for potential participants regarding my study.

A lot of has changed regarding my method of data collection, especially the amount of time participants need to participate (down from 3 months to 5 hours minimum for all phases of data collection). Hopefully that change and the fact that CS2 is on its way, will entice previous interested participants to reconsider participating or interest any new participants who see this thread for the first time.

What’s the price of admission?

I require you to complete:

• A participation questionnaire - takes about 6 minutes to complete.
  
  
• Completion of the Big Five personality trait test – to determine which of the 5 personality traits you exhibit the strongest connection with – takes about 6 minutes to complete.
  
  
• 5 hours of your time playing CSGO with certain settings which I provide to you – you decide when and how long you play these 5 hours (see more details on the info link above).
