CSGO Sticky thread

I still want those interested in comp to start a proper Steam group and Discord channel. Suggest names and I will take the initiative. It is going to take a long time to properly prepare these teams, training, coaching and management, and building depth. I also don't know whether MyBroadband will be interested, but it will be nice to see two teams by this community compete against the best.

Note, I am already involved with a similar platform for the above elsewhere, but I can give my time here pending on how professional it will grow.
Yeah, I'm still interested. Quiet for now, but will be playing again soon.

CS GO is quite active...you can find a game anytime between 6pm and 12am (midnight) - those are the only times I've tried playing so probably the window is larger than that.

I don't know who you are...but I will find you.

I rarely have trouble finding game even during the week from 10am and that's on South African servers.

Also CSGO may be getting upgraded to the Source 2 engine soon.

I see there is a patch and it's referring to the packet loss issue some of us had. Gwd I hope it's fixed!

Edit: Nvm, it's exploits they patched that used packet loss... bleh.

@Fulcrum29 I'd be keen :)

You sure? Playing the game seriously takes a lot of work...we'd have to practice a lot more than we play. Strats and grenades for each map, timing, co-ordination...all that stuff comes from practice, not playing a few hours in the evening.

I'm interested but my spare time is variable...sometimes I get busy at work during a sprint and won't be available for weeks.

Look I have a job and that will take priority obviously.

But I'd be keen to put in some time on this, I enjoy the game, I enjoy the competitive aspect and the teamwork.

I doubt that we will muster up enough players to put together a regular team for anything major. I surely can’t play regularly, but we can go for uniformity, and I won’t be playing, but I can look after the activities. There are a lot of logistics to go big, travelling, preparation, etc. it is best to keep it small. If you want to go bigger, get recruited by a e-sports organisation.

I want to produce better CSGO players, nothing major. Our local pro guys are too good to be challenged, and young, people over their thirties are not going to keep up. Keeping it minor at best, but professional.

This is a community challenge. It will be good having at least 12 players around.

I think how many times you knifed him in those 3 days is inversely-proportional to how many times he's played since.

Did you know if you knife someone 5 times in a row and win the match someone will call you a p**s and tell his friend on your team via their TeamSpeak to vote kick you?

Isn't that the purpose of TeamSpeak?

I must say that I have been very rude to the toxic and grieving players lately. Normally I avoid communication, but I’m tired and annoyed. Zero ****s given.

stop, hammertime.

did you install the game?

Nope, not yet, came here to ask the following, min specs say: AMD Phenom X3 8750 (thats a 2.4GHz chip) and I have a AMD Athlon II X3 460 (that's a 3.4GHz one), is that good enough?

Graphics wise I have a ATI AMD Radeon HD 6570 1GB.
