CSGO Sticky thread

At least I kind of know the maps, but yes, interesting little differences.

Don't like the gun menu but that's OK, I'm sure I'll learn.

Does one get Kevlar by default?

The keys still work...B-4-2 buys an AK, B-4-1 a Galil on T. If you remember how to buy in earlier versions, you only need some minor adjustments.

In casual, you get kevlar and helmet for free...in competitive, you have to buy them.

Thanks, I usually built up kits and then just buy them. I assume one can still do that, I'll check when home.

I also suggest you change the launch options right from the start, this is what I use:

Code:
-novid -high -threads 4 -nod3d9ex -nojoy +cl_forcepreload 1

and make a custom crosshair or at the very least change the crosshair in game to static

CS:GO Crosshair Generator

What's the forcepreload?

It loads all the textures before you get into a match instead of loading them while you play.

Basically think of this joke:

Why did the console user cross the road?

To render the building on the other side.

+1

Mine is open all the time while playing CSGO. I can't play without it. But you need a big screen for it, tried it on the kid's laptop and fark no! :D

What if you change the size or does it then become unreadable?

Hmmmm, I see the new HyperX Pulsefire FPS Gaming Mouse is receiving good reviews. It is minimalistic which I like, it is FPS orientated which I like... When these hit our shores, I'm going to try it out. I'm still in the market, shopping. Kingston didn't disappoint with the HyperX Cloud II so this may be an option going with the reviews.

Why is that important? I've never noticed an issue with missing textures.

You won't see missing textures or anything but it's going to use extra resources to load everything while you're playing instead of loading them while you're on the loading screen.

Wouldn't you rather have everything loaded during the actual loading screen instead of while you're playing?

Honestly, I have never noticed any performance issues or FPS drops so it seems like solving a non-problem. Not saying you're wrong, could just be my noobness.

I'll try it and see what difference it makes.

On that note, I am quite liking my G403...feels good in my hand. The clicks are a little lighter than I'm used to so I accidentally click sometimes when I don't want to but other than that, a really great mouse for me (fingertip grip with 20cm hands).

It can only help not hurt so why not?

I feel like you're defending yourself but I'm not attacking or disagreeing, just asking.

Anyway, I'll try it later. Anything that helps is definitely a bonus, I agree.
