CSGO Sticky thread

I contacted Glorious PC Gaming Race directly now. Want to know the availability of these mice, and the new one, and also in regard to the warranty, but I have also asked them some other more intriguing questions. Waiting to see their response which will take some time.

RJN lists the Glorious Model O in his top 5, though his list hasn’t been updated.

1. Logitech G Pro Wireless
2. Finalmouse Air58 Ninja
3. Zowie S Series (2 and 1)
4. Logitech G403 | G703
5. Zowie FK Series 2 or 1 | 1+

But he rates the Zowie S higher than the Glorious Model O, meaning that I believe it will be coming in at 4th or 5th. He likes them glossy... I see long-term users like glossy mice models more... don't know really. Horses for courses.

@Soul Assassin

The Cooler Master MM710 is available, for September, for R900-something.

https://www.amazon.com/Cooler-Maste...ay&sprefix=Cooler+Master+mm710,aps,505&sr=8-1

2-year warranty.
24 September I think I saw somewhere, I was going to get that until Evetech got the Model O because the Model O is the one I wanted from the start.

RJN won't add it to his list because it's a "clone" but if he did I'm pretty sure it would be number 2 because the tech in the G Pro Wireless is so good.

Sidenote, I see the MM710 is water resistant, I don't know if it's meant to be or marketed as such but I saw someone pour a whole bottle of water over the internals and just kept on using it.

The Model O, in my opinion, is the better mouse when compared to the Cooler Master, RJN did state,

Change Notes 19 May 2019: The Glorious Model O review is now live on my channel but I’m not adding it to the list yet. There are some things I want to go over so there’s no confusion. For now, I’ll just say it’s in the Top 5.

Zy has the Finalmouse Ultralight Phantom at #6 under his personal Top 10.

I emailed Glorious because they have also removed SA as a shipping territory. I want to know whether Evetech is now their distributor here, pending whether it may be disclosed or not. Evetech has a really good deal on the mouse, it is close to the Glorious’s retail price @ $49. It is worth the buy going by reviews.

As I have said previously, I still need to be convinced by the product, to quote the switch they use,

20 Million Clicks

Don’t let competitors fool you with inflated stats on low-quality switches. Model O comes with state-of-the-art Omron switches, with the highest durability rating and quality control standards. The Model O will outlive other inferior gaming mice.

I don’t know about the stats remark, almost all mice makers used this very same switch until the ‘double-click’ issue became a global pain. The 50m is the Omron highest durability rating, and the quality control standard sucked when it came to the 20m. The outlive remark is, uhm… yeah. As I have also said, button design goes a long way. When I tore my old G403 down, the button and the switch seemed to be worn out.

Some people complained about loose mouse buttons on the Model O… whilst many reviewers receiving pre-production models hailed this without much error. This mouse was heavily pre-reviewed by streamers and Youtubers, VERY positively.

Then there is pre-ording, it has happened to me where I have preordered hardware only to be told by the supplier, “First come, First serve”, and then to receive notice that my order is cancelled. This being Evetech… well. Just a personal note.

I have to see. The Model O- is more the Finalmouse Air58 in dimension, and this being released to preorder when Finalmouse announced a new Ultralight coming the 28th.

X-Raypad also has an ultralight honeycomb mouse in development, the G-wolves Hati which looks very much like the Cooler Master’s MM710.

I don’t know this brand at all, but they already do have a 66g version on pre-order,

Personally, when I order a mouse like this I would like to see what people say by December, and also your opinion. The last thing I want is Evetech troubles.

I will wait on your review

Currently, I am leaning strongly towards the Zowie S1 (Black/matte), but like Glorious I may run into support issues here in SA.

I do think Evetech will be the official SA distributor for them so we should see the keyboards and that massive mousepad soon too.

One thing I'm a little worried about is the software has a debounce setting specifically to eliminate double click issues, that kind of makes me think they anticipate or already know it's going to happen.

Confirmed.

Emailed them a while back & never got a reply, fsck 'em.

Just think about an RMA with Evetech :p

I'm currently considering to purchase a Glorious Model O, but I already have one too many mice and I think that I need to wear out my current G403.

Evetech's shipping rate is quite steep. R259 is more than $18, and this is without shipping insurance. The shipping alone is 1/3...

Luckily I was able to organise to ship it across the river from me so my order total was R806.95.

Well I have to do an RMA on my Rival 600 so will order the Model O and send the Rival in when it arrives. 800 bucks is pretty cheap...

The list price on Evetech is R1200 but I don't think it will default to that after this initial price, it's just to trick people into thinking it's more of a special than it really is.

The normal price will probably be R999, I actually thought it was going to be R999 and I was going to buy it at that price but for R799 I couldn't say no.

If they had a version in pink I would have willingly paid R1500 for it and called it Prod's Vagina.

After watching that guy's video I feel rather dumb. It is an actual electrical issue, and here I thought it is the spring mechanism being worn... which is a possibility from regular use. His explanation makes more sense.

Him talking of hot-swappable switches. Many mice side buttons are hot-swappable. Roccat and ASUS have models with main buttons which are hot-swappable with minimum effort.

/Cough

I received spare swappable switches with my ROG Spatha.

I think he mentioned climate wrt peoples preference, glossy mice from personal experience are like a slippery bar of soap in hot humid weather.
