@wizardofid

You should play some 'mini' games, Arms Race for example is an excellent match of aim.
Not an issue with aim, I have not changed any thing on cs, except changing my crosshair to red and small as possible as well as making it static, has made a drastic improvement getting a fair number more headshots and more focusing on aim, took a few days to get use to, k/d is improving as well getting 1.5 ish now.

Just need to work on angles and not rushing in guns blazing, player movement prediction is pretty good. The only thing I have change is mouse dpi, start with stiff and then move up on the DPI scale 2 or 3 rounds later once I get a feel for it.

This is what went through @Neoprod's head when he saw those ladder boards,

I've played 4 hours this month - I feel like it's going to be me getting my lunch money taken on the playground.

Going to help my brother with a PC thing this afternoon (he's networking his music room)...should be back this evening.

Are you saying you want to increase your DPI?

What is your steam name, only mybb member I have that regularly plays is fartmachine

I go by many names, but my account is private for most of the time. I only go public when I have to connect to some form of API or when the CSGO peeps complain about my invisibility when trying to invite me to a lobby.

Sens is supposed to go down not up.
Says who ?. The more lose the setting the better the reaction and mouse movement speed you try flick a no scope with a stiff mouse and see how much table you use, your are more likely to get stabbed your team mate stabbed and the bomb defused before you will get that flick off.

Like I said I don't touch a single setting in cs other then the crosshair, only change is mouse sensitivity, it has served me well.Didn't have much room for improvement since I had a ping of 250+ before this year, there is still no reason to change the way I play or settings just yet, Iam pretty sure I could hold my own against ranked players, since I have no official rank since I don't play comp, it doesn't interest me in the least.

Above average is good enough :)

Talking of sensitivity,

5 CS: GO professionals who use Mouse Acceleration in their settings
When it comes to low TTK, tactical, first-person shooters like CS: GO, a proper mouse DPI setting is one of the most important aspects of getting better at the game.

We often recommend that newer players must look up the in-game settings of certain professional CS: GO players like ‘s1mple’, ‘Xyp9x’, and ‘Goden’. Most pros run standard, low sensitivity DPI settings, which allows them to use their elbow to move the crosshair around and reserve the wrist flicks for micro-adjustments.

However, there are certain professional players out there who go a step further and switch on a particular setting which you will be hard-pressed to find any other regular CS: GO player using.

This setting is called Mouse acceleration and is the least recommended feature of a DPI setup.

What is the Mouse acceleration setting in CS: GO?
Much like the standard sensitivity setting, Mouse acceleration too affects the movement of the crosshair on the screen in CS: GO.

When Mouse Acceleration is turned off, “the ratio between the movement of the mouse and the crosshair will be 1:1, meaning your crosshair will move proportionally to the distance you moved your mouse.”

However, when this setting is turned on in CS: GO, the crosshair will be moving according to the speed with which you move the mouse, instead of the amount of the actual distance moved.

If you have moved your mouse by one inch but very slowly, then the crosshair will move with the displacement ratio. But if you have moved the mouse rapidly, the crosshair will move much further than the normal distance.

Using mouse acceleration involves a lot of calculation, hours of practice, and insane muscle memory. It’s also one of the reasons why professional CS: GO players avoid switching this setting on.

This isn't anything new, but some bind it with their scope. I don't know... Back when I still gamed with laser mice, especially my M65 I wasn't awful at aiming, but it most definitely influences your consistency. This was rectified the moment I moved to optical. I can see the use case of acceleration in regard to flicking.

I've never once in my life heard someone say they warm up and then increase their sens, that's how you get inconsistent and sloppy aim.

That is how I play......like it, don't like. :p
As long as you have fun, at the end of the day it is the point of playing a video game, just know that you won't improve and if you ever try and play comp you're at best about a silver 3 in rank.

Pretty much always do, I always try new things, especially with the mouse only started with that to experiment with that over the weekend, bit of a hit and a miss. The crosshair change has been pretty good :D
