100% no way anyone is going to cheat now

Okay, I am done laughing. The reason they put it up there is to legally protect themselves when someone cries that their account is being blocked or VAC banned. In most countries, policies need to be clear, or visible, at all times. Now, when a cheater enters a public match, Fair Use is being rubbed in. Though this will not help the community, it will help Valve in dealing with crybabies.

That's what I use in Apex too, 0.75 with 1600DPI.

High eDPI definitely suits lighter mouse better than heavier mouse. Well, this would entirely depend on what genre of game you are playing.

I am preferring 0.75 x 1600DPI, just need to standardise it across my games. I used to play Starcraft at a high DPI, but in those days I was still in my twenties.

The meta of 400 DPI, out. It doesn't mean that you cannot play at a lower eDPI, but in the current time of games the advantage sits with whomever shoots first, pending on your kit, obviously. Just like the good old Quake times when the only real differentiator was armour.

400DPI was good back when we used to play on 720p (or lower res) displays. The amount you'd have to move your entire arm (a few times) just to rotate on a 1080p or 1440p monitor is just insane and not practical at all. Though, most old school pros still swear by low DPI, and downscale their displays accordingly. It looks like ****, but I guess when you're playing at that level all that matters is the slightest advantage you can get over your opponent.

People play stretched res with boomer bars on modern games too, I don't get it.

Finally, the people that can only play Online are being put in their place. LAN has always been the true stomping grounds. If you can win on LAN you are good.

Ignoring connectivity issues which plaques competitive games, cheating is an issue in online gaming and currently there are some huge cheating issues going on in the tournament scene. From exploiting coaching cams to blatant hacking. Ignoring other illicit activities.

LAN will remedy most current issues in the tournament scene.
