So it seems Valve is really intent on the ability to purchase 'unlimited' grenades and being able to drop it to team mates. This will be a huge meta change, IF it is done. They even dubbed a new player meta, "utility expert", meaning a player which is stocked up on nades by other players to execute nade strategies.
I am not playing this game any more as I have 'better' things to do, so this doesn't impact how I am currently experiencing the game meta, but this is a risky move especially to come to tournaments which is already abused with exploits.
It is cool to test new ideas in CS, it has been done many a time, sometimes it sticks other times it doesn't. BTW, the pro players aren't keen on the idea, so it could be Valve trolling the idea, which they have also done many a time... Yet, no Source 2.
Personally, I think Valve is in a conundrum. CSGO is tied to an extraordinary high value digital inventory that it's blocks a new CSGO. Now CSGO already contains Source 2 code BTW, but the game still runs on the Source engine. Maps can already be made in 'Source 2' which is compatible with Source, so why not the change? I think it has to do with the inventory.
There is so much cheating taking place in this game now and in the pro scene that I have lost interest. I am not even surprised that teams which excelled online is doing bad in LAN events...
