Nice, but bloody expensive like Razor. In fact, I don't even like Steelseries that much and believe their products, like Razor, being over-hyped through esports. However, the Rival is an amazing product, so are some of their headsets. Then again, the Kingston HyperX Cloud II headset, in my opinion, is probably the best priced 'worthy' gaming headset for PC. I have played once with a Rival 100 and it was perfect for 1:1 hand movement, obviously configured to my preference.

Many pro players used to jam with your mentioned G400s, unfortunately those products are EOL. Now you have to look at the new Logitech G series, http://gaming.logitech.com/en-us/gaming-mice the entry-level G403 is awesome.

I just noticed it kind of annoys me when people don't say gg, that's just good manners.

I usually type it in the box. GLHF/GH/GG. The only times when I say a word is to provide intel/calls. I hardly make caller calls in a team that I do not know, and choose to do it when the team starts to bitch against another. I have also become accustomed to blocking those team members which uses comps to socialise about whatever, or those playing *** music.

Casual is all go though.

You can mute everyone in comps as well. I often just turn off my mic, and take off my head phones when I feel that I'm about to punch a hole in my screen.

Just Block Communication, I sometimes end up with 3 or 4 people blocked by the end of the match :D
 
I always block the whole opposite teams coms when joining a comp. I will try not to block my teams coms until they start being salty. I can take constructive criticism, but when you are just shouting, swearing, playing music or doing some sound board **** the whole time I will mute you
 
I block anyone that makes a constant noise in casual.

A player has got to be really toxic for me to mute him in a competitive game.

The thing is, competitive mode is by principle a team based competition, there is a moral code to work together. It is not the pro league, but it does have standards to abide to and that is why there are reporting mechanics to steer the game into a positive direction, and also lately by adding Prime to ‘authenticate’ the true players.

Solo is not an easy approach to competition; it is a gamble to be stacked with an ‘competitive’ team. The match making is scratchy at best.

It is okay to mute the toxic players, but you need to continue as a team player. Once the team is broken then you are going to have to sit through unwanted rounds, only to complete the match without suspension.

There is also an issue where many players think that they know better than you. The issue is simply that the team is not playing according to roles, that is up to the players to nominate and the team’s caller to decide. This hardly ever happens… one reason why I YOLO in the lower tiered ranks. Then there are players which are under the impression that competitive mode is all about the player leading with the most kills…

Agreed 100%. Teamwork. If you want to mute everyone, turn of mic and so on, then rather play a casual game. Trolls are troll and you will get them everywhere. Learn how to deal and ignore them without ruining the other 8 people in the games experience
