Alledegly Valve has taken drastic action against skin changers, and is banning them. Now, skin changing is a client-side hack. HOWEVER, lately there have been players with impossible Valve accounts, local accounts that would make the Saudi princes shy. Some say these accounts are bought, but they don't have trade bans. There were also users who gained their season medals without meeting the required wins. I don't know how this works, at all. I am curious whether this is why Valve is taking action???
Anyhow, some aren't too happy not being able to change their skins. Basically Valve is taking action against those not wanting to participate in the Steam economy which is cheating the system.
It is notable that there are used accounts. You can buy day-1 Steam accounts, and it isn't expensive. I wouldn't touch it though, nor recommend anyone to go down that route. There is nothing in it to brag about, and its TF is likely as low as it gets.
