CSGO Sticky thread

Alledegly Valve has taken drastic action against skin changers, and is banning them. Now, skin changing is a client-side hack. HOWEVER, lately there have been players with impossible Valve accounts, local accounts that would make the Saudi princes shy. Some say these accounts are bought, but they don't have trade bans. There were also users who gained their season medals without meeting the required wins. I don't know how this works, at all. I am curious whether this is why Valve is taking action???

Anyhow, some aren't too happy not being able to change their skins. Basically Valve is taking action against those not wanting to participate in the Steam economy which is cheating the system.

It is notable that there are used accounts. You can buy day-1 Steam accounts, and it isn't expensive. I wouldn't touch it though, nor recommend anyone to go down that route. There is nothing in it to brag about, and its TF is likely as low as it gets.

I don't always know how believable this person is, but say it is true, then let the skin changers burn. Cheating is cheating.

Yesterday’s patch updated the client-side VAC module.

Skinchanger users are getting clapped. Cool to see Valve’s real anti-cheat finally wake up, shame it only shows up when skins are involved.

This guy is playing on a controller - I'm like 90% certain.
Zywoo is a special case in pro gaming: he has no skill ceiling. He has his down days, but he keeps on improving. There are several tier 1 players that are the best, but peaked. Once you hit the peak, the only way is down. Team Vitality is now probably the best team ever in CS history.

CS:GO is back. Won't get official support from Valve, but now I can play it and imagine I'm having fun

There is a small number of local servers or at least there was. Mostly deathmatch.

Just know, that if you aren't used to 64 ticks, then it's probably going to feel that everyone is cheating until you are used to it.

EDIT: I meant 128 tick. There should be different tickrate servers. 128 tick is the best for improving.

do Ya'll Still Play CS1.6 Or Condition Zero ? Steam! ?? Steamless Local Server?

Do A Server Search on Steampowered Counter-Strike 1.6 & Condition Zero Organize The Lowest Ping to Appear at The Very Top.
If the GUIs still work, it should be sortable. Otherwise, you would need the command line for joining. There are websites listing the servers with their IPs.

I don't know when and I can't speak about it, but I have very long worked on it, and may start to host free online competitive servers. There is still much to do, and every day I am a little bit more tired. It won't be limited to our region, but I want to see how far I can build it out. Currently I am working on getting funding. Slowly deciding to quit living for gaming. It is a very complex process.

Anyhow.

[ GAMEPLAY ]
  • Reloading has been refactored to encourage more careful consideration of the use of ammo. When you reload a magazine-fed weapon, all remaining ammo in the magazine is discarded and a new, full magazine is taken from the reserves.
  • Reserve ammunition is now represented either as number of magazines, shells, or bullets, depending on the weapon.
  • The fill-level of the current weapon is now displayed below the ammo count.
  • Tuned reserve magazine counts per-weapon.

This change is big enough to rename the game to CS3.

Who wanted that? Smh.

Also, if they wanted to be all realistic and stuff, you should be able to pick up mags from the floor.

New total ammo count for CS2 guns after the new update:

M4A4 - 150 (was 120)
M4A1-S - 80 (was 100)
AWP - 15 (was 35)
R8 Revolver - 24 (was 16)
Desert Eagle - 28 (was 42)
Five-SeveN - 60 (was 120)
Glock - 80 (was 140)
CZ-75 - 36 (was 24)
Galil - 175 (was 125)
SSG-08 - 30 (was 100)
MP9 - 90 (was 150)

I like the new change. Makes you a bit more aware of whats going on with your weapon instead of running and gunning and just reloading whenever you feel like it.

Should be able to pick up half empty mags from the floor though.

So this magazine change is not bad at all. People aren't spamming as much as they used to. Weapon pickups can be a doozie. I would like to see some new stats, like kills per mag.
