CSGO Sticky thread

About 300 hours on record now, and I'm finally starting to understand the game a little better. I'm actually getting use to the spray patterns, and getting 1 taps consistently now. Very happy. looks like I'll eventually rank into the Nova ranks.
 
The value for money of this game is insane, I paid R75 or something on sale and I have 600+ hours and haven't thought to myself once I'm bored.

I just played with someone with almost 3000 hours and he was clearly still enjoying it.

Did you not play any of the previous games?
 
CSGO is a lot of fun, just pay no mind to the people tuning you for using the n00b cannon or COD gun or P90 or Scout or Deagle or basically any gun that isn't the AWP or an AK47 or an M4 :p
 
^, must play with this guy...he probably always has loads of cash for guns, just running around with a knife all the time.

ah man, CSGO is amazing, i played a lot of CS in v1.x days and even a ton of Source, but CSGO is a whole new animal! Love this game. Had it from release but when they released it, it was pretty crappy, thats how i got in the COD series but since BO3 i have been bored playing it. COD is a brain dead game..... sit there like a zombie just run and shoot, so i started playing CSGO and have not looked back.... cant play anything else

Strangest damn thing...

I have a main account and a Smurf account. Well I used the one "Smurf" account to warm up before playing comps on my main account.
Funniest thing... My "Smurf" account is now MG1, my main account is Nova 3. Do you think I can get out of Nova 3? :D

And my main account is on that prime thingy and my "smurf" not. Strangest situation to be in tbh.

Think you need to warm up with your Main account from now on

This ranking system is bad though. I initially ranked SEM. Eventually after a few games I managed to dop my rank. I got up to SEM again, but stopped playing for 3 months (had other stuff to worry about), and then when I returned I ranked silver 3. I've ranked up to Silver Elite now, but doesn't matter how well I play I just don't rank up. I'm starting to wonder if I shouldn't just get another account and rather play with that.

I'm sitting at MG1 now. I changed ISP to one that lags a lot less and ranked up twice within a little under 2 weeks. I'm pretty happy with that rank. My mates and I fool around a lot though (zeus rush mid) so I doubt I'll get any higher :D

I used to have very bad lag. So bad at a stage that I had to use LTE to play (thus I stopped playing for a few months - it was part of the reason). Since getting my line fixed, I've been playing s little better. I still see the odd lag here and there, and sometimes I also see other people lag rather than me.

Do yourself a favour maybe and watch any CS:GO main event on youtube. You will see how massive the game actually is.
