Horrible pings actually, what's bizarre is that I always keep a local ping cmd window running, and can see that there is nothing else happening on the line, yet my CS:GO ping is all over the place: 100-300ms.
On Afrihost it's fine, sub 50ms.

This will be interesting to me even if it doesn't improve anything...never tried running a game at a higher res than a monitor's native res before. Science!

If you record something, I assume it records at the higher resolution? So you end up with a 1440p video of a game you were playing on a 1080p monitor...hax, man.
^, does being ranked when you lobby up mean you wouldn't get hackers? I thought we were Prime-lobbying now after urban leveled up awhile back?
definitely starting to drag not being ranked...will solo tonight and later this week. Hopefully I can pick up the wins needed this week still.
I'm not watching those games from last night...still carrying the scars, man. Renier and JP were pretty funny to play with...looks like the one guy hadn't played Dust2 before. Someone was shooting him from window and he shot boxes randomly
I was thinking about what that one guy was saying after that game when he called me a smurf. Technically, he's wrong since I've only ever had one account ever and only started playing competitive now. But in a way, he's right...I've got just short of 600 hours on CS GO, a couple hundred in Source and who knows how many hours in 1.6 and earlier versions (think I started playing with guys at my work over 10-12 ears ago). It's not usual for an unranked noob to have that many hours behind him, I suspect.
I'm thinking Soul Assassin is going to have the same things said about him if we can drag him into competitive at some point.

OK - Mirage then. Last night also had a guy drop a 50-10 on us...he went from good in the first game (Cache which we won) to insane on Mirage. Haven't watched the demo but I'm pretty sure he was walling at a minimum.
i think for that KDR he was prob walling and aim bot, coz u can still have walls and be sheet

I played Quake with FOV set to 120...that creates that tunnel vision effect and makes it look like you're moving faster.
