I see that Telkom is working on my line, again. Why, don’t know... every time that they are doing something to something they tend to leave me beached. I am not playing CSGO at the moment, but I lose it when my line desync’s. Better leave my things as be. I had to wait 4 weeks to have my previous issue resolved.

I'm so happy I somehow convinced the last Openserve tech to fully replace the cable all the way from the house to the pole, I don't think I've ever seen someone with a higher SNR, only the ping and upload speed of fibre now gets me jealous.

I was close to deleting the game, those grenade sounds are essential. I also hope that HRTF is now sorted, because the positioning was all messed up, again. There were other audio issues, but I will check whether they are also resolved.

No, it has been ages since I last did these. Is you retake a pug, because then you will need to check your overrides.

Only recently discovered retakes, seems solid for practicing with the team before going in.
Fairly straightforward to host, just the configs being all over the place
It's currently default out the box retake mod, but thanks to your question I do see they have a pug mod as well, which I'm guessing is going to send me down the right path.

I tried out CSGO since the latest update. Some audio issues are resolved, but there is still missing sound and positioning issues. I will revert back to normal mode as HRTF is still too experimental in my opinion, but this does not resolve the missing sounds. The nade audio seems to be resolved which was my main issue.

So seems CSGO is very active then? Many local servers to play on?
I was checking my CS Source this weekend and there were no active local servers
I see CSGO is only like R165 on Steam.
CSS player hammertime here, if anyone recalls from back in the day...

CS GO is quite active...you can find a game anytime between 6pm and 12am (midnight) - those are the only times I've tried playing so probably the window is larger than that.

Weekdays between 10:00 and 02:00 you can find people playing one of the game modes, on weekends you can basically find a server 24 hours of the day, even if it's just 1v1 community or something.

I still want those interested in comp to start a proper Steam group and Discord channel. Suggest names and I will take the initiative. It is going to take a long time to properly prepare these teams, training, coaching and management, and building depth. I also don't know whether MyBroadband will be interested, but it will be nice to see two teams by this community compete against the best.
Note, I am already involved with a similar platform for the above elsewhere, but I can give my time here pending on how professional it will grow.
