CSGO Sticky thread

Other than that, disabling just about everything will help, also what resolution do you play at?
I play at minimum everything. Honest to god I haven't played a game that looks like this since the 1990s :D At least that gets my fps up to around 50FPS, which is just about playable.

I feel like writing an apology letter to my monitor each time, because I can feel its pain. It's like forcing a pretty young girl to shovel manure. I'm the one left feeling all dirty.

Interesting home life you have there. Do tell us more (you other guys screen-cap it for the Feds).

I've asked you that question on resolution, I think, 6 times now. I'd appreciate an answer dammit. :p

It would be written as 1024x768 or 1920x1080 or similar.

*rolls eyes* I'm at work now, aren't I? If you *really* want to know so badly just ask me next time on Discord and I'll check into the settings. It's a low number. I think it's a little higher than 1024x768, but not by a hell of a lot.

The reason I *really* want to know is you repeatedly mention FPS issues, and changing the resolution is *the best*, *most effective*, *easiest* way to increase your FPS. Seems...sort of....pertinent?

I'll ask you again later, I know you won't be able to remember.

You can try these resolutions in cs-go if you have a 16x9 monitor without changing the aiming mechanics you've gotten used to - 1024×576, 1152×648, 1280×720, 1366×768, 1600×900

That's in order of least demanding graphically up.

My PC is CPU limited so changing resolution doesn't do anything for me really.

:P I reduced the resolution through the in-game settings to the lowest allowed in CS:GO. That is what helped make it playable at least, and there's no more I can reduce it unfortunately (I think even if I could the game would turn into minecraft :D)

^, eish.

Take a screenshot of your settings page when you have a chance.

Also, are you using the configuration settings Wolf supplied earlier?

Actually you can, just maybe not from within game. Heck, you could even run it in a window. The pros play at very low resolutions too, it wouldn't be "odd" at all.

But yes, let's build this PC you spoke of :D

My mate I play CS:GO with, came over to my house the other day and was shocked that I play CS:Go on a lower resolution 1024*768 instead of 1980*1080 but smaller pixels = smaller head = harder headshots. I am a tryhard at heart. :D

Haven't seen what Wolf supplied, no. This is a kinda long thread, I didn't read it all (I know right) :P

The last time I tried taking a screenshot in CS:GO when I pasted it outside the game it just showed a black square. Dunno if it's related to all the settings being on their minimum inside the game, or if it's something CS:GO does to protect the content?

I haven't gone window yet, I have *some* self-respect left!

just remember GPU acceleration does not work 600*480. 800*600 is the lowest resolution GPU acceleration works on, any lower and its just CPU.
But I don't even know if it allows you to go lower the 800*600.

CSGO on Source 2 is coming soon, that should be interesting.

Hit F12, Foxhound. Did you use printscreen? :D

Ice Cream plays in window (borderless) mode now and then. Most people I know on 27" monitors are all square. I love my enemies being overweight.

They're so fat and you're still only killing 1.27 of them each time you die?

Use my settings, remove my mouse-related settings. Don't know why you gals like big crosshairs and being extra sensitive.
