CSGO Sticky thread

Actually there is lot more to mice, a mouse needs to suite its user, so,

a. Shape
b. Buttons
c. Sensor
d. Weight

the order is in relevance to the game type. Shape is the most important as size will dictate your hand grip, a) Palm, B) Claw or C) Fingertip. I will suggest that many look at Zy's reviews as he touch base with FPS suited mice.

Then you have to look at design, mice which are restricted by their cable need a bungee. I have a Razer bungee, the dumbest tool, but best mouse assistant ever made.

Lastly, tracking, a sensor is only as good as the area it is tracking on. No pad is made the same, and no mice tracks the same in design so you will need to acquire a pad best suited to your mouse. That Arena pad that I have linked to, bargain, Zy has a review on it,

http://www.rocketjumpninja.com/cougar-arena-review/

All which are small things, but small things add up, and only people serious about gaming should consider expensive equipment, because well the equipment is only as good as its user.

Buying a Zowie mouse will not make you a pro player. Besides, most gamers with G403 mice is average at best  :p

As Prod said, the part that I put in bold, that is what every casual gamer should look into, make your hand happy.

Have you considered the G502 Proteus core? Best FPS mouse I've used. Excellent sensor, no latency, weight adjustable, although I use on the lightest.
Paired with the Corsair MM300 pad, have not felt better on the battlefield since replacing the G500 :)

EDIT: Although reviews does not rate it for FPS, I say FPS mouse due to lack of a ton of buttons. It has your normal thumb buttons, nothing on the right side (those just piss me off)

It might be heavier than the Steelseries or Zowie counterparts, but for me does not feel awkward

The G502 is too heavy, I need something sub-100g. When I purchased my M65 two years ago it was between the G502 and the M65, the M65 won due to its smaller size. Currently I'm opting to go Razer Blackadder Elite, rma on less available goods are always a hassle in SA. I will really love to have a Zowie, but it is about economics here.

I thought I was going crazy, ever since I got the new GPU I noticed when I join a game I would always be the last one in and before the new GPU I would always be first.

Now all of a sudden I read if power management mode in the NVIDIA control panel is set to optimal it has a massive effect if you have an SSD, so massive the term half speed was used, changed the setting to adaptive now all of a sudden my system is fast again.

Ran a Unigine benchmark and my FPS went up another 10FPS and I'm first in the lobby again.

It makes no sense why a NVIDIA setting should affect your SSD that much.

This post came in handy now, thanks Soul. See everyone, the CSGO thread is more than about the game ;)

There is one Logitech which I wouldn’t mind, and that is the G Pro. It will pair well with my keyboard. RMA, oh no... it will be a disaster.

Take your tiny hand problems elsewhere :p

The G403 shape is perfect for my fingertip grip...the relatively flat arch is comfy for me. And the mouse length is also well-suited to my 20.5cm hands.

See? I didn't just pick it cos' of the name :)

Re mouse bungees...never thought about cable drag before but I then I thought why the hell not.

So I've just taped the mouse cable to the bottom of my monitor :crylaugh:

Prod, I hear that you, I and ZoHaN is going hunting in the apocalypse? There is one more open place, game is still on special…

Yeah, I got Dying Light yesterday...used CS GO skin money to buy it which is kind of like borrowing money from the wife to spend it on the new mistress :crylaugh:

Let me know when you want to play...will start it up for the first time tonight and get a feel for stuff.

Maybe sometime over the weekend when we all have the time. I am sick and busy, and gaming is more an obstruction than anything else right now. I need to be productive.

Good news though,

Dying Light is getting 12 months of free DLC and a community collaboration platform

Update June 15, 2017: Techland have now officially previewed their DLC plans for the next year, with the trailer above for Content Drop #0 as they call it.

As we mentioned during the week, the first DLC will focus on adding new enemies, while future DLC will include "new locations, story-driven quests, gameplay mechanics, weapons, enemies, and more."
For our favourite zombie games, check here.

It will all be free, and will come alongside "gameplay improvements and balance tweaks" and community events. They're planning to do four of these per quarter and are launching a "dedicated community platform" for fans to influence the content that's on the way. In essence, it sounds like Amplitude's Game2Gether platform, but for zombie-killing add-ons rather than deep strategy games.

"As we firmly believe in active collaboration between the design team and players," Techland CEO Paweł Marchewka says, "we hope this announcement will encourage our fans to share their thoughts, stories, and ideas about how we can improve their experience even more."
It's a good time to be a Dying Light fan. There's a lot of them too - half a million people still play the game every week, according to Techland's figures. What could this year of free content possibly be building to, hmm?

Original story June 14, 2017: At an event during E3 2017, Techland have announced that Dying Light will be getting ten new pieces of free DLC in the next 12 months. Some will even include extra story content, and the first will be "available soon" adding new enemies to fight against.

To know what to expect, it’s probably worth taking a look at The Following, the Dying Light expansion that came out more than a year ago. In that, Techland shifted the focus from parkour to vehicular action, plonking a dune buggy down in its open-world. Running the undead over proved popular, so it’s likely the developers are looking to expand their roster of vehicles in upcoming DLC.

so yah. We can play one CSGO comp and then gooi this.

So, I have entirely changed my mind on what to buy,

Thanks to Soul, I am ordering the Philips SHP9500 + V-MODA BoomPro and thorough research on mice keeps on bringing me back to the Logitech G403 Prodigy (wired), besides the mouse will accommodate my G910. The G Pro and G303 is simply too small. Awesomesauce.

I am going to order these together, so I moved my purchase date to next month's payday.

I'm sure you've factored this into your decision but remember because they are open back headphones your fluffy ones and any other external noise will be audible.

If we have to hear them, so does Wolf :crylaugh:

I couldn't get the BoomPro working nicely so it's sitting there on my bookshelf accusingly.

Dunno...didn't want to pick up in Discord cleanly. Will try to get to get it working at some point.

Does this mean we will be hearing his babies even more loudly and clearly?
