CSGO Sticky thread

300FPS basically always?

Ok, so just checked it: seems to sit consistently between 220-260, with a couple spikes down to 200 or up to 280.

Considering I was on 50 FPS before at 640x480 and I'm now doing it at 2560 x 1440, I'm pretty stoked by that :)

Good games last night...thanks Beel, welcome rogue. We wrecked on Train - I enjoyed that round to end the one game where everyone crashed into the A site and got the team ace in less than 15 seconds. Very Virtus Plough :p

I was damn useless on Dust, all I did was went with it. Some clever oke throttled me to that server.

I must say though, Beel is more competitive than his rank and so is Cav5034.

EDIT: Rogue is not too shabby either.

You guys punch way above your weight (rank).

I feel jealous right now :(

I want to play too. Will see if I can fix my HDD today, my upgraded GPU should run CS:GO I think.

Didn't you have a GTX 970, what now?

I did. Still do, technically. However, the Fans were not a fan of fanning, and detached themselves from the GPU. So the Heats moved in, took up residence which ultimately resulted in Overheat, which led to The Crash.

I took it to Rebeltech who told me that they will send it in, I should wait 7-10 days and hear what the supplier (Rectron) want to do. They may credit (due to shortage) or they may replace (if stock). OR they may deem it physical damage (no****really) and refuse to replace.

At which point I shall rain unholy fire upon them and threaten to move our distributorship to another supplier if they don't play ball. Given that we have about 5000 devices in the field, they may behave. But we shall see.

So I upgraded from Intel HD3000 to GT 220.

I'm busy with Rectron myself, getting a 3TB drive replaced.

You might have an issue with the stock but I don't see them having any other problems, the last time I had a GPU act up one of the fans would sporadically spin and stop, took it to Rectron, the person flicked the fan one time and saw that the bearing was shot, two minutes later he came back with a brand new GPU and I was on my way.

^^, GT 220? :p

drop res, drop texture filtering to bilinear and maybe you'll get decent fps...it's not a good card even for a game as ****-ugly as CS GO. I used one in a HTPC maybe 5 years ago and it was slow then.

Awesome. Only issue I am having is, having bought it second hand, the CRO gets emailed to the original purchaser, not to me. SO now Im trying to get hold of him
He moved overseas. :wtf:

Anyway, should hear from him soon, hopefully.

I know. It's ***. But it's better than no card. Maybe I have to move back to my laptop :(

About a week ago...1070. Prefer AMD from a software point of view in retrospect...Nvidia's got a couple of issues that get on my nerves.

Performance-wise? Any improvements? Also, what issues?
