CSGO Sticky thread

I haven't played in more than a year now I'm watching Shroud stream and I have no idea what is going on.

I’m glad now that I have a fresh 'Primed' troll account in CSGO, Prime is bloody expensive. Prime isn’t even keeping the hackers out. Valve is asking R205 for fairer matchmaking in a F2P game. This is funny AF.

Players who have spent their time in Arms Race, Demolition and Deathmatch (auto-buying) are going to have an advantage in Danger Zone.

I don’t know what Valve’s business plan is now with CSGO, because it isn’t hard to achieve ‘normal’ rank 21. Either you F2P and easy grind to rank 21 or you pay R205 to go Prime.

Accounts created to cheat, prior to F2P, is now Prime (without the need to bind a mobile number).

As good as it is, going F2P in the battle royale arena, Valve may now have 'killed' CSGO competitive mode. Many who may now experience hackers on a more regular basis than usual will move on. Grinding out your competitive rank, good luck. I pity those new to cheating.

I will still play, and I have noticed Valve going easier on cheaters as I have previously mentioned in this thread. It is all about the drops and getting people to unlock cases.

Shroud said it is F-up now in regard with cheaters. Overwatch, simply, won't cope with the many new players.

Anyhow. They are also introducing custom skins, by creators, now which is awesome.

I have Blackout, happy holidays

Today we are also shipping the Danger Zone Case:

;)

The MP5-SD | Lab Rats may become very valuable if it stays limited.

I perso believe this is the right move to make for Valve. Sure it opens the doors for hackers but it allows prime to actually do its job.

It will take some time, but once all the hacking "prime" accounts have been weeded out with overwatch then we will sort of have a clean slate with much less hackers than before. As now it is double the price to "buy" legitimate matchmaking.

While the BR is BR. It is not as good as all the others out there. We just need to be patient while overwatch does its job on prime accounts (which personally overwatch should only be applied to prime matches).

Only desperate people will buy Prime, others will grind it out, mostly, by playing Danger Zone. Valve still recommends Trust Factor over Prime, as they themselves say that Trust Factor takes Prime into consideration and I have played a Prime only match against two new accounts. Queues are queues, Prime only takes priority and when there are no Prime accounts in accordance with matchmaking in the queue it will queue non-Prime accounts in accordance with matchmaking.

I honestly don’t see Overwatch handling the many new players (ignoring their multiple accounts). There are many cheaters who have gone unbanned clocking hours in the thousands. Not to mention that Valve has made the reporting system complicated by involving more steps than necessary, alienating people to actually participate in the system.

Now that they have Danger Zone who would want to ‘play’ Overwatch mode?

Valve could at least keep the price at R52. Not too many people like to throw their beer money away and mom & dad won’t appreciate the reoccurring R52 transactions on their credit cards.

Nonetheless, time will tell.

Played about 5 games this morning - it’s fun. You can pick guns etc up, but you have to buy things too with cash you find or earn.

Rifles only come toward the end, just pistols and SMgs at the beginning.

To expand:

Played about 5 games this morning. Enjoyed it, will play more.

Beyond whatever technical issues they're currently having, the game does need some development. Another map would be nice. Longer games with a larger variety of weapons too.

Currently at game-start you get pistols and SMGs. You either find these in crates on the floor which you have to break, or you buy them with money found on the floor on from killing people.

You also have to buy ammo - an MP7 comes with 24 rounds only. I picked up a Five Seven with 7 rounds. There are ammo crates that give you about 10 bullets I think. You can buy ammo for $1000 - gives you... maybe 1 bullets?

The trick is when you buy things they're delivered by drone. So if you hear or see a drone going, it's a clue as to the player's location.

Rifles only become available quite far into the round so it makes for closer engagements, especially in the beginning.

There's a "breach charge" - essentially a demolition charge. Should be fun. You also get a tablet showing the map. You can upgrade it to show all drones on the map, and also increase the resolution. Haven't played with that much yet, but if you kill a player with an upgraded tablet, you can pick theirs up. Also their guns and mooolah.

@Neoprod @Cav5034

Are we going to play this? Teams up to three.

Prod, get Blackout, it is the best Battle Royale out there.
Yeah. Played a solo game last night. EZ win. Not sure how MM works with this mode?

Agree on the blackout tho. But now you can't choose solo/duo/squads. Up to the rotation...
