CSGO Sticky thread

All I know is that the game is being held hostage by a very toxic and rather large cheating community. Perhaps Shroud was right, CS2 will spell the end to the game's tenure. Valve also only speaks to their community through patch notes...

I do think that Valve needs to introduce a kernel system level anti-cheat. It is not that intrusive unless it is being exploited. They can build their machine learning anti cheat as a second layer.

You will still have cheaters, but the devs creating those cheats will have a harder time to maintain those cheats and that comes at a price that most will not have access to.

CSGO had some ancient undetected cheats that anyone could get on Github without paying a cent. Not as good as the premier cheats, but sure Valve was aware? Though the user had to be a bit more advanced, knowing how to conceal those cheats without getting VAC banned. CS2 also now has cheats anyone can download. I'm not going to link to them.

It is also very easy to buy a reputable account with many hours and medals. Fake inventories continue to be a thing, people with trading links are being scammed by these all the time.

Still doesn't answer the burning question, why ? lol

Why do pro athletes use illegal drugs? People don't want to lose, and coming second is still losing. Some want to troll, others are chasing rewards or supremacy.

Not to ignore that old saying.

"If you can't beat them, join them"

The thing with cheating is, that these same cheaters are cheating at other things too. It is time to recognize that the cheating community has grown into an elephant that simply can't be ignored.

In the end, those who are cheating are simply not good enough to achieve merit without cheating. They could try harder though, but humans tend to be lazy and as a result they tend to look toward shortcuts.

I have cheated plenty in single player games. For the most part in the second play through. Not even in a single player game do I get any reward by cheating. You have to grind, even when puzzled by moon logic.

Oh well lets hope for the best. I never once had the urge to cheat with online Multiplayer ever, and have never cheated online ever. I have on occasion used "cheats codes" in single player games, when I was in the mood to muck about like GTA vice city or Duke 3D.

I would like to understand why people need to cheat in MP games, what is the goal or purpose of it, what do you gain from it. I cheat because I can, doesn't really answer the question.
I used a code in Skyrim that allowed me to carry unlimited items. That is my extent of cheating - and it was not the online version.

Another thing that I can't stand in CS2 is the tracers. I don't know why, and it is so stupid, but I keep on tracking my sprays with it, and it isn't accurate at all, though I am quite sure that sub-tick has hit reg issue.

Follow Recoil suck
Tracers suck

Then I watched some streamers play the game today, and they totally track with tracers have great success, whilst moving and shooting.

The Spiffing Brit doesn't even have to make a video about this game.

Last night, for the first time in my CS history of playing ranked matches I had an HS percentage below 30%. Not only was it below 30, it was 4%.

It is not the wallers making me fed up with the game, but how broken it is, intermittently.

xQc is one of the top streamers I can't watch. If I see Ninja I see xQc and if I see xQc I see Ninja. I just like watching Shroud and Summit as they are far more mature than those pandering towards children. Sometimes I watch Fl0m, Pasha and Get Right.

There are not a lot of lady streamers that I watch, but there are a couple of them I watch for broad commentary and playing RPG games for their input. Alanah Pearce is possibly my most favorite gaming commentator at this time.

Sadly, I don't watch that many local streamers, but it has more to do with the type of gaming and other content they produce. Now and then I will watch Mr. Flak.

I am considering starting an adventure gaming channel. Not for views, but for development discussions and narrative decisions, and for game preservation.

You should.

And XQC is not good at CS at all lol. I watch those too - and a few more. But this is just for laughs

He is doing something right. Not many streamers, even ones who provide super value, don't make the cut. It is a hard calling. Why anyone would want to relate with xQc I don't know.

Talking about players who are good at CS, I landed in a casual match with Evetech's Wooks, and he had some insane aim and holds, yoh. Played the maps very well, and would like to see him play a competitive game.

Stewie2k is also too much to watch. He is bleeding ego, but he is real good, so I guess it comes with the territory.

Only watch warowl, now and then nadeking, for entertainment rather that actual, CS content.................warowl has some really fun videos.Nadeking is a bit of a commercial for skins which I don't like.

I remember when WarOwl started his CS channel that most pros didn't like him at all, calling his advice bad. Some, a few, made jokes about, in particular with his jiggle and awping tutorials. As time went on, most of the community, including pros, became fond of him.

He is one of the few content creators who produced content making the game accessible and relevant for beginners.

Steel was one of the pros who called out Warowl, but has years after kinda apologised to him for not having the wrong idea in his approach. /Cough, Steel being a match-fixer and all, though he had his redemption, could have been one of NA's greats.

I prefer lirik, shroud is a hypocrite and summit is a scammer.

To each his own, but yes, Lirik is good to watch. Just not a favorite of mine, and yes Summit does have that taint. Popular streamers should watch out for what they get themselves involved in. I won't be surprised if some themselves have had their hand in these businesses from the beginning or it being friends of theirs.

Just see how Faze clan rose from gambling without proper disclosure...

Shroud is just that, opinionated. These streamers do have their agreements in place. Influencing is a thing for which they are paid for.

EDIT: Talking of Faze clan, just look at where they are today.

I went through my CS2 history now, my lowest HS percentages are 25%, 21%, 14%, 9%, 8%, 4%. LOL! That is bad

Valve please fix.

I won't make much about this,

though some media outlets may write about this, it isn't impressive. I don't even know how Vaccoin is tracking that and what site they have used to analyze that data because there are no demos and hence there is no match data. Players can long not be tracked anymore, besides you can't track private users in any case without match data.

They have also posted this,

but what cheat are they talking about because aimware is still online.

I call BS.

I hope Valve listens to NaToSaphiX's view at where CS2 is at.

At least someone is speaking up.

For those with AMD GPUs, it is best to wait until 23.10.1 is released since it seems that AMD is having big issues with shaders (and caching) in CS2. This said, there might be a chance that AMD won't be updating Polaris and Vega with new drivers.

This is the ban tracker everyone is watching.

I have no idea how they are tracking players since Steam doesn't allow it, unless they scrape data, but Valve don’t like scrapers. The only way to have data is to have access to match data and I don’t think that there are any without the demos. Regardless, their data doesn't look any good.

Matches added
3 914 602

Matches with banned players: 1 723 250

Lol, surely that can't be right. How is everyone raving about a VAC wave when there isn't even a 100 VAC bans since the 1st. What are game bans? More or less 1000 game bans since the 1st, but only 100 VAC bans. I am curious whether that data includes games which were abandoned?

This is hardly what is known as a VAC wave, lol. Good one Valve.

On another note, what is up with the bullet sponges? Since the last update, this game has been more a looter shooter than a twitch shooter. Enemies are soaking up bullets.

For me the biggest issue with the game at the moment is the mismatched skill "levels" in Premier. I played two games. Both games were against decent teams, but yet, my team didn't call ****, tilted after losing pistol, and had almost no game sense. Its bad enough that I'd rather wait it out a bit before playing in hope that it becomes better over time
