As a CS newbie, I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong?
I’ve been angrily sworn at this week because I’m supposedly obviously cheating… lol, I don’t even know how.
Other times I was told that I’m camping. I don’t exactly know what that means? I know there’s guys who stick in one spot and get cheap kills, which some of my tactics could perceived as (I guess?) but if a player gets repetitive, they become predictable and then you counter them easily? Also, it’s boring?
Today, somebody called another player a “camper” too. Please explain, because all I think I am doing is playing in a way that I think makes sense in deathmatch - behaving in a way that fosters self-preservation while lining up shots.
The other “campers” I play with regularly and I never think they’re doing anything unfair.

Shut up, blyat, and rush B!
The estimations make sense. Valve does nothing of note to combat cheating at all. One day CS will end up being a cheater vs cheater only game with no comparative integrity at the current rateThere was a recent interview with two cheat developers. You would need subtitles enabled if you are unable to understand them. Video below:
One developer believes that 10% of players are cheating using software. But if he also counts map exploitation and farming, the number increases to 40% of players. This I can believe. I don't even want to know what percentage is just bots doing trading.
The problem is they can ban 100's of players every hour every day, if you ban players often, they often work out in short order what aspect of what they did got them banned, which in return makes it much easier for cheat software developers to patch it. Which is why you have random spaced ban waves, that way it is much harder to figure out why you got ban and what aspect of the software got detected ect. Lots of developers, take this approach especially blizzard as an example, bans were always done in waves. The estimations make sense. Valve does nothing of note to combat cheating at all.
