Encountered a cheater for the first time on Dust yesterday. Guy was running around with a canon headshotting people through smoke and doors time and time again.

Cheats are getting pretty good actually, I generally let it go once if I get hit through the smoke, after that no, I also then keep an eye on a player if he gets consistently hits or kills players in the smoke, that is an automatic report, check the profiles as well.

Follow is worth noting.

Anime pictures in profile/avatar
It is a common feature, but isn't as clear cut now days but generally a good indication to keep an eye on the player

Pins
Yes cheaters accounts usually have a lot of pins, I they do this as away to try and hide the fact it is a smurf or cheater account

Account privacy
Accounts are usually private.


Old accounts
Quite often accounts will be at least 5 years old, private with pins, and low commends, there are exceptions, there are cheaters that will constantly spam chat requesting commends from players. It is a common theme these days cheater account have at least one thing in common being at least 5 years old.

Female names.
Lots of cheaters also use accounts with female names, there format and names are pretty consistent and they never speak.

Deagle and scout one shots.
Cheaters prefer weapons like this as it is possible to one shot players, their crosshair placement is a give away as well, they are often low on the body or to the ground when moving about, there is no reason to control you crosshair when you have aimbot, cheaters that are better usually mimic crosshair placement better.

If they are consistently hitting head shots at distance then you know, they are cheating, there are very few players that are exceptional at the game on SA servers, I have all played with them before.

It seems there is a new meta with cheaters, they like using the PP bizon, practically the worse sub machine gun in the entire game, with auto aim and walls they are practically invincible, that low firing/damage rate and recoil/spray makes it generally hard to get a kill yet they are running around CS2 maps consistently getting kills, just about every other weapon should be able to out gun them but they aren't, that is extremely sus.

Cheater tactics is also pretty much consistent as well, same places and positions on maps rarely if ever change it up.

There overall utility use can also be pretty bad or none at all, why do you need to use utility when you can see players, before they can see you, in instances where they use utility is with nades and mollies, to flush you out or know you are low health, if you get naded consistently behind corners or smack in the face with smokes and other things for cover view that as really sus, when they use it in a particular could also be a giveaway.



All you can do is keep on reporting, the more the better.

Yesterday the guy shot me with canon through middle doors after he killed a teammate through smoke.

Then I watched the guy and he walked into long doors not knowing how many people are in there and he immediately aims and headshots another guy. All his kills were headshots. Everyone complained it was so obvious.

Other times have not been like this for me. I do get killed with Deagle on long distance but I also get similar headshots with the Deagle - sometimes. It is rare but not as rare as you might think. This is how I practice also on deathmatch is with the Deagle only.

It forces me to aim for the head because for me the Deagle sucks in a rapid-fire situation. Sometimes you get very lucky shots.

On Mirage I was keeping aim at connector and someone jumped right into my crosshair and I got a Deagle headshot. I was bottom-fragging otherwise so no way anyone would think I'm a cheater.

That is rage cheating, there are many 'legit' cheaters out there. There seems to be a boosting issue in competitive tiers like Premier, with suspicious players being investigated. Some top ranked players are bad, stats-wise, compared to players ranked in the same range, but then you look at their lobby. There are players out there with stats better than pro players. Sure Valve is aware, I mean, they have the data.

I only play casual with a spread over all maps but the majority of the time I like playing the hostage maps. Usually older Afrikaans ballies chilling there.

getting deagles at this distance... is okay, getting 3 or more in a row at distance.....consistently, not even the pros can do several in a row, and while the do get kills, it isn't always headshots.....

I started with a new tactic, that works pretty well in CS2 lately, spamming with the auto shotty, if you get body shot the player movement speed is so drastically impacted that more than 50% of the time you will win the encounter, mag 7 if you have good aim can 1 tap headshot players and decimate a site rush, they are useless at range, but close range you can take out an entire team no problem, they are also extremely useful to make large gaps in the smoke, and some times help spotting player movement.

I like playing negev on inferno and nuke, sometimes anubis when smoking and playing mid, you can tag a lot of players, as they like to awp mid.

Also found with cheaters, if there is a few in a match, is to not rush and just camp, there usually good in a group on their own their lack of skill quickly catches up to them, and generally you can win the encounter.

Generally their skills and strategy is so bad they fall on their asses when they are alone.....


The other thing is I don't accept friend requests, from CS directly, unless it is someone I know......they can fk off. In general I don't accept friend requests as I am developer on steam, you get a lot of shady requests and people looking for free stuff, as of late I have been getting a lot, I don't want to be accidentally friends with a hacker.....

I found that dust has the least amount of hackers in casual in general, don't play hostage it is boring, so can't comment, but the other maps pools, no matter the server there will be at least 1 cheater period.....
 
I figured out why so many people think I’m cheating: a guy asked me how I knew where he was before I could see him. These guys are using cat ear headphones from China mall and can’t understand how I can pinpoint them using audio cues. The real cheaters are making them paranoid.

You breathe so loud I could shoot you in the dark.

Yeah, you don't have to sell me on the MAG-7 or the auto shotgun. Love them.

MAG-7 can be a bit slow in a rush but definitely my fallback gun when I don't have enough money for an M4 or I'm trying something else.

Rarely use the mag 7 these days, I rather go for a silenced submachine and deagle/fiveseven.....recoil on the submachine is horrid but if you practice mac 10 on T's and MP9 CT you will win most encounters especially with peekers advantage currently in CS2, You can't beat the fire rate of the MP9, your wasting time any money with anything else, use to go P90 often, but auto shotty has replaced that, If I have money I get the AUG or SG, they are basically laser beams.....The bullet tracers helps a lot.
I get more headshot with the AUG than with either AK/M4.

Famas is useless, lately if I can, I pick the galil AR over the AK, less damage that the AK, but it more than makes up with accuracy especial at distance. AUG/SG over M4 for me.

When I use the AK I just tap-tap when I shoot. Near guaranteed headshot because even if the first bullet is chest-height the second is usually high enough to get a head shot.

Some thing I likely need to train out of is crouch shooting less with the AK and instead go for tap shooting, sitting target and all that :D

Yeah every time I notice it starts creeping into my play I head to deathmatch with the Deagle.
