current pc value - Xtream gaming rig

Not too keen to sell separate, such an effort, rather sell as a whole setup, ppl cam check that it's working, and see for themself, guess if no takers at a later stage might think bout it...

not cool, hope u get a virus and BSOD for that... just coz u dont like the price they charge you for their software, dont give you the right to steal it then... pitty so many ppl have that level of mentality...

Not cool was releasing vista and me paying 1.6k for it.

Did you ever see how microsoft came about? They set the stealing trend bud :D. You cannot go and steal someone's idea and then moan about others stealing from you.

Hypocrite much?

Besides microsoft would rather me pirate their software than use apple or linux :D. BSOD only happens on legit copies of windows for some reason, all the pirate copies have never given me a days hassle but legit software omg the amount of times i have phoned microsoft to get the key re done is scary. Pirating is much easier and less hassle :D.

Nonsense.. When 7 came out I kept checking up on this, it never happened.

What it was is that if you'd bought a copy of Vista (or maybe only a PC that came with a copy of Vista) within X months before Win 7 came out, then you could get a free upgrade. It applied mostly, maybe only, to OEM versions shipped with pre-built PCs and laptops.

Haha, vista was a massive flop, bit they still ran a free upgrade period, why didn't u do that?

Dude i don't want to act like you are a bit on the silly side but surely downloading windows 7 ultimate and upgrading for free is the same thing? I end up with it for free? I bought every windows except windows 7 because windows 7 was a vista service pack in my opinion.

I don't need to justify it hahah i could have upgraded but why upgrade and go through the mission of microsoft when i can have the ease of downloading it. Changing hardware requires no phone call. Even if i paid for it i would use the pirate version :D.

Who cares even if i didn't buy it, windows is still free hahah :D. .nzb and .torrent work well for free windows.

Yes I remember this, there were also a lot of rumours (from disgruntled vista owners..lol) that their would be an across the board free upgrade.

All depends, if the computer came preinstalled with an OEM version or not... I did an upgrade last year through the ms support line with 40 desktops that came with vista, I had the option to either upgrade to the equivalent win7 version or to downgrade to xp.... Can't help u with retail versions....

I bought it for R1000 and a packet of nik naks

Those must be some good nik naks... :wtf:

It's true. Vista = v6.0, Vista 2.0 = v6.1 (better known as win7... :p )
