G'day people of MyBB,

I am looking for a mince curry recipe, something similar to the Woolies Curry and rice. Or like the type you would buy at the "kerk kermis". Something easy, not to spicy, so that the little one will eat it. He is almost 2, and he likes the woolies curry. basically just mince, potato, carrots etc

any tried and tested recipes will be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Just use regular curry recipe and don't add chilli or chilli powder. I just use tumeric for my 4yr old. And very little garam masala. Like quarter teaspoon.

4yo is old enough to graduate to big boy foods

Lol. I make two curries. One hot and another mild. He loves it.

His face was a mess.

throw a little gun powder masala in there man.. make him STRONG!
hehhehe!!

you know, i do not have kids, but i realise that as parents, alot of people limit their kids to the parents' own preferences/choices. i've seen it alot with friends and family. kids dont like dogs coz their parents were bitten 30 years ago, kids mimic their parents perceptions of others without some social mixing of their own etc..
not saying that you are doing this, but just saying...

i've always tried to live by the saying: try everything at least once in your life.
why not make him a curry ( not venomous nando's extra hot-like now) but with SOME spice.. and see if he likes it or not?
his digestive system has had the correct bacteria in there since he was 6 months old, so it wont throw him out.

with that said: hey that woolies curry can be quiete spicey sometimes!!! i've misted my glasses up over a few of them actually!

the thing about curries is you dont have to have it hot. its all about flavour. also eating very hot for a long time/over many years messes up your tolerance over time. i can eat very hot food but the tummy just cant take it. same with my wife and other family members.

i used to eat extra hot nandos but now opt for hot with some wild herb sauce if i want a bit more sting. and almost always have an icecream after :)

Come on, does any of the local MyBB Indians have a nice curry recipe please? It must be easy and ingredients easily obtainable.

Well, preferably a nice lamb curry. That, and a vegetable curry please. Not to hot, but nice and aromatic! Please if you can give approximate quantities it would be great, as I tend to over spice things a lot :)

Youtube will help a lot. What curry do you want to make?
