Hi Guys

Got an issue with my laptop cursor being out of control.

Im not touching the track pad/touch pad, but it just moves straight to the top right hand corner.

Im currently running windows 10. I ran a virus scan with windows defender, and came up with nothing. I also managed to get into the mouse options when the cursor was a bit calm, but nothing worked.

Im not very clued up with these things, so if anybody can advise on solving this.. Im hoping its a simple fix, and not a hardware issue.

Hooking an external mouse does nothing, same thing happens

Thats the problem, i cant get into the settings for long enough to do much. I cant get control of the cursor. It just goes very quickly to the top right.

Doesn't your track pad have a switch or button just above it, below the keyboard?
Or a key combination?

Use your keyboard.

Ctrl-tab to change tabs, tab to move around window, space bar to toggle an option and click a button.

Learn some keyboard shortcuts like suggested.

Winkey E to open explorer.

Using tab and arrows to navi to Control Panel... Etc...

Use space to toggle. Tab to move around.

But that's a custom interface, not a typical Windows app, so might not work.

Thanks will try and use the suggestions, otherwise will just get to work tecchies on Monday to have a look at

Bott from a linux livecd, if the problem persists the you know it's a hardware issue.
