If you're not comfortable doing it yourself then I don't really think the whole custom rom business is for you. Xda forums are a much better bet then asking here imo.

Ive had custom roms before, done by a friend who has moved overseas. Not sure what asking somebody for help, has anything to do with custom roms being or not being for me. Strange

Because if something is wrong with the ROM afterwards (e.g. some radio bug, etc), which is not uncommon, and you need to reflash then you again need to rely on someone else. If you do it yourself from the start then you know what is going on.

The Sony Xperia C section (now that I type it it is funny)

In there you will find:

KitKat Xperia C
