Cutting bandwidth costs

Yo 56K, my upload speed averaged at 600kbps. The part that shocked me with this, is that I used only 1 ADSL user account cos I was expecting some kinda catch like 2 lines = 2 accounts, but these guys left me speechless when they told me I needed only 1 account

do they have a symmetrical option?

56K, as long as I have a static IP, and the thing works I am happy :D . They say 20megs, so I applied for a 3rd ADSL line to see whether it can touch 12Megs/s d/load and more importantly whether my upload increases to 1.2megs/s cos thats what I really need for my VPN. These guys are doing the 3rd line application for me saying they will push to get the line quicker hehehe, do they have some magic potion to make this any quicker :D. But so far so good. The stability is whats shocking me. I think they use the local bandwidth to get into their backbone and break out internationally from there cos I havent been experiencing any bottle-neck speed so far.

The day the local loop gets unbundled in SA is the day we will see a whole new digital world in this country...

At least the Bonded line is uploading faster then my Leased line. Now I can cann the OVERPRICED dedicated line once my 3rd line is in :D . Yo 56K , must give this thing a shot, try it for a month and then let me know whether you agree with me !!! dats what I did before taking the bonding miracle. And for those GRANNIES overseas, they need to add some NOS if they wana catch me... hehe :D

You guys know Jack.

I saw a comment about the local loop being unbundled but it seems that you have forgotten that Telkom still controlls the backhaul. Even if joe isp could stick a 50mbps line to your house telkom would throtle the backhual from the exchange down to 30mbps CAUSE THEY CAN.

Yo 56k you seem to know very little about the ISP market in SA. "Companies should run fiber" Tell you what try run a fiber from JHB to a branch in CPT and see what the doc and telkom and icasa and gov has to say about it. Plus you got a spare mill or two lying around so we can dig up roads and stuff. It also seems that you have a miss guided view about the way this isp is doing it. maybe should get more info first and understand it before you slate it.

I'm not called 56kMan for nothing, you know? :p
Were we talking about ISPs? (thought we were talking about this product)

Sorry, I meant access network. (is that the right terminology?) :)

I didn't mean ISPs. I meant another type of company. I was thinking more along the lines (pun :D) of a multimedia company, perhaps.

This idea is so sad. I mean, what about ADSL2+ & VDSL? It's sad when companies have to bundle ADSL lines together. Companies should be running fibre. I guess that costs to much in this country. This is pathetic.

This comment was not directed at "Technology Concepts". I was not talking about the ISPs. The ISPs do the best they can with what Telkom gives them. I think this is a innovative product. TC has a great product, here. What I meant to say is that I blame government & the circumstances. Companies like Openweb and TC do a great job. If politicians open up the market so that companies like these could have access to the local loop and international bandwidth then our problems would be solved.

Keep up the good work "Technology Concepts"
