Hi, does anyone know where I can get wipers for a 2017 Cx-5 (new shape)?
I have tried the majority of aftermarket parts store including Midas, Goldwagen and Bosch agents but none of them include the fitting for this Mazda.

The dealerships are asking R900 per set which feels like daylight robbery for something that must be replaced almost yearly.

Anyone got some ideas?

What exactly needs replacing? The whole unit or just the rubber strip?

R900 isn't that bad, especially if you can't find it anywhere else. Also you don't replace blades yearly

This is another rip-off by dealers. I just buy similar length cheap wiper from Midas.
Pry open clips and slide out rubber.
Pry open clips on original wiper and slide new rubber in.
Cut to length.
Crimp clips shut.

R100 ftw

900 is cheap, Ford and vw charge more than that. Midas should have them they normally fit them in the parking lot for me, I just give the guy like 20 bucks.

If you're in Pretoria, try Naskar auto parts
If you're in JHB, try Malibongwe Auto Parts, I got wipers for my Civic from them.

Yep

But not possible on a lot if cars now, and wont look neat if you diy it

My focus, you had to buy the whole clipout thing and that definitely wasnt R900. Closer to 1.5k. Ended up getting it on amazon for half the price

Try the hella cleantech. Had the same issue with my ford and my local midas not knowing what will work.

Had a friend that made the mistake of buying a Citreon. R2000 for the blades, R10K for a windscreen. No pirate parts available. Had to fork it out to the dealer. Ripoff.

Subaru was R1100 for the front set. Replaced after 4 years

Check with Tiger wheel and Tyre. They should be able to order Bosch Aerotwin's that will fit. Not super cheap, my Kuga's were about R700 but that's the widest size possible on both sides, so should be the max.

That is a rip-off, especially in our harsh climate where wiper blades don't last years and years like countries with milder climates.

If you can't find generic wiper blades that fit, I'd do as the above have suggested and order a few pairs from Amazon that you have spares. Although, I am not sure what the shelf life is like. I guess the rubber would go brittle after a while? In any case, it might be best to get a rear wiper blade as well while you are at it. They are used much less so they end up cracking and perishing faster than the fronts in most cases.

Yeah then when you drive in the rain you get that awesome streaky feeling like your window is being cleaned with bacon.

Always fit the manufacturers recommendation, there's a reason they put effort into ensuring it works properly on that vehicle.

I have the CX3 and autozone in Randburg assisted with Bosh wipers. Same length as the original and fits perfect on the existing wiper arm. Cost R160 for pair.

However I am still struggling to find an aftermarket rear wiper.
