Cyan Update is here 2014-07-30 ~ busy installing it on Lumia 1520 on Vodacom.:)

Edit the post title to include 1520 as it's not yet available for the following phones:
520
620
720
820
920
1020

Only available for:
625 - CV + Vodacom
925 - All
1320 - CV + Vodacom
1520 - Vodacom

So it's not "here" for all the phones yet, not even for all the variants of the phones
 
I've seen articles claiming you need to recover your device first if you've been using Preview for Developers. Can anybody confirm this?

For the time being yes, MS is working on a fix that will be released soon so that you don't need to do this.

You're also not missing much if you're already on 8.1DP, Cyan doesn't bring much to the table to make it worth while to wipe your phone for.

The only problem after installation was that the Photo Hub appears not sync fully with the Onedrive Website and App. The content of Onedrive folders are missing etc. This appears to be a general issue after the 8.1 Preview/Cyan Update if the contents of all the WPcentral/Ms Forums are studied. Looks like MS will bring a update patch soon to fix.
Note: Hard or Soft Reset does not cure the problem.
 
Is the update available on cellc as well? I am not in the mood to downgrade from 8.1 preview and my phone and not be able to update it again to CYAN. I have the 1320.

mmmm, the Cyan update is more for the camera, some significant improvements for IQ and some new features, check WP Central for details

Camera improvements are only on the Icon, 930 and 1520

Other Cyan features are:
Equalizer for speaker, not just headphones
Dolby Headphone is now Dolby Virtual Surround
Dolby dialog enhancer
Record audio for videos in Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 (930 only, possibly on Icon and 1520)
Brightness Profile - Average brightness can now be set
Color Profile - More options added
Motion data - 630, 635, 930, Icon, 1520 Only
Bluetooth 4.0 LE
Living Images
USB Settings ("Ask me before using USB data connection" and "Notify me when I connect to a slower charger.")
Miracast support

None of these mentioned is something I would wipe my phone for to have right now plus Cyan isn't available for the majority of phones yet, also the DP is getting Update 1 (GDR1) next week

I did mine last night on CellC.
 
haha, after all the times that Vodacom has been first with there Nokia updates, now Vodacom is the only one who has not released the Cyan update for the 1020, everyone else has... COME ON Vodacom!!
 
Any idea when the Official GDR 1 update will be released for those who did not use the Preview Update?
 
still nothing from Vodacom for 1020, they are the only carrier in SA that hasn't released Cyan for 1020... and someone said they (Vodacom) were normally first?? Come on Vodacom!
