Cyberpunk 2077

People already speculating on a 2.4 anniversary update to include a new casino area based off of some new adds in the game

It's so weird. CDPR said that they worked with AMD to get the FSR right in Cyberpunk 2077, but FSR 3 still exhibits the same issues. This game possibly has the most shimmering, and FSR 2.1 is overall better. This is why people with Radeon products who don't use OptiScaler use XeSS in this game. FSR 4 is good in this game, but shows ghosting. Maybe it's a game engine issue?

XeSS 2 looks great in this game, but does not have the same clarity as FSR 4, and you need to zoom in to experience shimmering.

Maybe this will be resolved with AMD's upcoming driver. I also saw that Ancient Gameplays did a video:

For some reason, he could enable FSR 4 in-game, though the game isn't whitelisted by AMD. I think it could be due to him swapping DLLs. I watched it now, and he said he is experiencing stuttering with FSR 4.

Note: He used AMD's SI drivers to enable FSR 4. It their internal branch driver that is also made available to the press.

I had a quick check; the driver he downloaded is 25.10.09.01, but the current 25.6.3 (which is optional), is 25.10.13.09. The SI driver is older, though it could have 'experimental' settings that aren't exposed in the newer release drivers.

In my opinion, it is best to wait until AMD releases 25.7.1

Adding the casino to the game will be a huge update. Potentially, that could be a new DLC or v3. I am sure that they will add the upcoming Edgerunner content to the game, so another update is plausible. There is so much area where the casino is that can be utilized.

FYI if you're on PS5 and have a VRR capable TV this now unlocks the framerate in Quality/RT mode.

Works quite well and probably hangs around 40-60fps depending on the situation. I do still prefer the locked 60 however.

The Cyberpunk 2077 performance is pretty kuk on Mac. You need an M3 Max 40Core GPU at least if you want 60fps at 1080P native, with RT OFF and high settings. Anything less will not yield 60 fps or you'll need frame generation which until Tahoe will not be Apple's perhaps improved version. Funnily enough the game apparently runs better in CrossOver.

Patch 2.31

2025-09-11

Patch 2.31 for Cyberpunk 2077 is being rolled out on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Mac and Nintendo Switch 2!

This update includes an AutoDrive upgrade and Photo Mode adjustments. It also addresses common issues encountered by players. For details, check the full list of changes below:

Vehicles
  • Updated AutoDrive. When driving to a selected point, the vehicle now drives smoothly, overtakes blocking vehicles, and no longer stops at traffic lights. Free Roam mode has also been upgraded to follow traffic rules and navigate the city more reliably.
  • Fixed an issue where Johnny always spawned in the passenger seat when using the Delamain Cab service.
  • Fixed an issue where applying CrystalCoat to the Yaiba ARV-Q340 Semimaru caused its wheels to flash in different colors.
Photo Mode
  • Most of the new poses introduced in Update 2.3 now work with any gender.
  • Disabled NPC collision, which will make it easier to position NPCs on top of other objects with collision (e.g. on car hoods).
  • Fixed an issue where some of the poses didn't work for Royce.
Quests & Open World
  • Freedom - Fixed the journal entry that appears when the player chooses not to steal the Rayfield Caliburn "Mordred."
  • Motorbreath - Fixed an issue where, after V fails to pursue and stop Semimaru and receives a text from River saying he'll contact V soon, the follow-up message never arrives.
  • Motorbreath - Fixed an issue where the Yaiba Semimaru could flip over during the chase, preventing the player from entering it.
  • Motorbreath - It's no longer possible to trigger the quest if River died during The Hunt.
  • Motorbreath - Players can now acquire the Yaiba ARV-Q340 Semimaru through AUTOFIXER even if they failed The Hunt, which normally unlocks the side quest where the vehicle is obtained.
  • Nitro (Youth Energy) - Fixed a game crash that could occur in certain circumstances after leaving the Yaiba showroom event.
  • Nitro (Youth Energy) - Fixed an issue where the proxy interface UI in the Yaiba showroom is cut off when the "Larger HUD Elements" setting is enabled.
Miscellaneous
  • Fixed several localization and lipsync issues in various languages.
  • Added a toggle to disable vignette. It can be found in Settings → Graphics → Basic.
  • Fixed an issue on PC and Mac where Ray-Traced Reflections might not display correctly when enabled under certain conditions.
  • Fixed several issues with displaying text messages from Delamain.
  • Various fixes for fluff vendors.
PC-specific
  • Fixed an issue where NVIDIA Reflex could be disabled while DLSS Frame Generation was enabled, causing the screen to turn pink.
  • Fixed an issue where Path Tracing didn't activate properly in certain scenarios.
Mac-specific
  • Fixed an issue where changing graphics presets on Mac set Screen Space Reflections to a higher setting compared to the equivalent presets on PC.
  • Fixed an issue causing a permanent white screen when Frame Generation is enabled while entering the braindance in The Information.
  • Selecting "Defaults" in Video Settings no longer turns HDR Mode off.
  • Fixed the inverted behavior of the "Mute Game in Background" toggle in Settings.
  • Removed the outdated "(Requires Game Restart)" disclaimer from the mouseover description of the "Disable Spatial Audio" setting.
  • Fixed an issue on the App Store version that caused the game to become stuck on the “Press Space to continue” breaching screen.
  • Various stability and performance optimizations.

Kinda a useless patch.

And still no flashlight :p

For those who haven't played Cyberpunk 2077 (or even The Witcher 3) I see that the Immerse Gamepack can be bought on Steam.

I didn't even know. Apparently it has been available since May on Steam. Is it worth the money??? Hmmm, no. Does it make the experience a little bit more unique, sure. In the case you already have Dolby Access (headphones) or DTS Headphones:X then this isn't a big upgrade. All I can say is really, is that both Dolby and DTS are better than Embody's Hive. Then there is Boom 3D which is also good. In the case you use a headset with virtualised audio, then it doesn't matter in any case since they could have baked in DTS or THX, or something else.

In the case you have a webcam, and want to play Cyberpunk 2077 or The Witcher 3 that is tuned to 3D, immersion, audio, then there is Immerse that is an option.

Dolby, DTS, Boom 3D works with everything. Just disable it in games that has 3D audio. These aren't the only products, but is tried and tested.

Anyhow, I bought Immerse on Embody's website last year, and my license to use is set to expire in the years to come. On Steam, that titbit isn't in the terms as that wouldn't gel with Valve.

Happy 5th birthday Cyberpunk 2077
