Cybersmart dial up problem

Hi Guys

I currently have a cybersmart dial up account (with infinicall) and i keep having this problem that i have with no other isp.
Whenever i connect for maybe a couple of hours, i get this message on my computer "generic host process failed". After that my internet disconenects. Its very very strange. It doesn't happen with any other isp and i dont know y.

Now im actually upgrading to DSL with the self install option and i jst wanted to know if any has had any problems of this nature with cybersmart.
Cybersmart is definitely the cheapest option and i would go with them but i don't want this problem to keep occurring.

Absolutely any comments welcome.

Thats really weird...

No point in having R7 call if it disconnects the whole time...

Dont know about Cybersmart ADSL isp service.
Did you compare Webafrica's prices with cybersmart.

Webafrica FTW!
 
Hi Mh348. Yes it is a windows error. But it does not happen with any other ISP.
Ive tried 4 others from my friends and they all work fine. And i have tried connecting with 3 different laptops and they all give me the exact same error. I phoned up cybersmart and they say they have no idea and i dont blame them... they say it may be a telkom fault but its not possible since other isps work.... makes no sense.

I will look up these hot fixes. And maybe it will work. Thanks

@kiepie i havent looked at webafrica, are they as cheap as cybersmart? 125 for 3G on 384k is not bad deal.

Edit: Kiepie i just had a look at webafrica. R200 for 3G is not cool. Alot more expensive when compared to R125.

Glad to see you're going for ADSL. What are you getting - 384, 512, 4096?

How much do you download on a weekend on dialup? - I use to do +-900MB. :cool:

With a small ADSL account you won't be able to do that. :o
 
Ye. I wont have a prob with dling, ill get a local account. getting 384, the cheapest option.
