How do I start... My Cybersmart account died on the second of this month. I tried reconnecting but all I get is that my password and/or username is incorrect.

Now if my password and/or username was incorrect, how can I still login onto the site. Now I have changed my password to check if that could solve the problem, but no.

Then, to check if it was my line:
1) My Netgear modem syncs
2) I have tested with an IS account, it works.
3) I have tested with a WebAfrica account, it works.

My recommendations is to anyone, don't get Cybersmart. Although I haven't had any problems till now, but damn. Where is the support?

Yes, I have sent them a email. Told them I can connect via other DSL accounts.

Reply is this:
Hi

I cannot see anything wrong with your account

However I see that your last disconnection was a Port Error

Our terms and conditions do not allow you to have accounts with other
ISPs

As you have broken the rules I cannot be sure that you have our user
name in your router at the moment so I cannot perfom some other checks
that I would normally do

Trying calling the via phone, don't say anything about having another account, just say that you tried a friends account and it worked.

Maybe they'll give you a new username.

Hi

If your ADSL username changed, it won't affect your email address. (which is what you'd use to log into their site with)

Your username might have changed to something like [email protected] or something, just give them a phonecall to confirm this.

To login and check usage you use the adsl username ([email protected]) not the email address ([email protected])

So if you were able to login and check usage then there could be another problem with authentication, so it would be better to call them.
