Cycling

I think it will be impossible to really compare across generations. It's quite possible in the modern team environment Mercx may not have thrived, equally without modern team support Tadej may be nowhere.

But in the modern cycling era (by modern I mean post the institutionalised doping era) Pogi is the goat.
The "at" in goat is for "all time". So you're saying he's the goat, but only of the last decade and a half. :unsure:

Tadej! Tadej! Tadeeeeeejjjjjj! :cool::cool::cool:

1 more week to go! Tadej better continue riding like he did today!

1 more stage for the sprinters after which I think some or many of them will go home lol. Looks like the green jersey is coming to Africa.

3:44 faster the Pantani on plateau de beille.

6.98w/kg for 39mins.(Estimated)

Best climbing performance of all time.

Girmay crashes in the final sprint and 9th for Gibbons today. Best stage result for him this year? Can't remember now.

A bit of excitement today at the end there WRT the GC. Carapaz rode like a demon possessed though...

Happy girmay is all good.

It might turn out to be a close race between Jonas and Remco for 2nd. Remco in theory is a better time trialist, so he might look to close the gap in the next two stages to get himself within striking distance.

I’ve loved watching every one of Tadej’s wins this tour; I loved watching Jonas outsprint him for the first time too; I loved watching Cav win that 35th, but honestly, Victor’s win is probably my favourite of this edition of the Tour.

Brilliant ride. Brilliant gamesmanship… Just glorious.
