Cycling

I have the same derailer. I Run it with the extender i bought from Rapide. Zero issues. Once you get the extender you will just have to fiddle a bit with the B screw to adjust the distance from the derailer to cassette when you have the chain on the biggest cog at the back.

Fitted some new Presta valve cores and now I don't have pap wiel anxiety anymore. Still need to order that extender from Takealot though as I don't have use of my largest cog at the back.

Have any of you MB cyclists been watching the new superstar. El Torito. One more big day to go, but he is looking super good. IMG_20250521_114524.jpg

Yeah... and the title was given away the next day... UAE and Del Toro being muppets together in team harmony. Unfcukingbelievable!
They could've just road together and made sure to keep the gap they had to Yates in check, and didn't need to catch him at all anyhow, and still keep focus on Carapaz, and even if Carapaz attacked again Del Toro would match him every time.

I guess karma works in mysterious ways... that Simon Yates after 2018 would claim it after all... just to be appearing non threatening all tour long, being a silent assassin when it counted most.

Got my Toopre derailleur bracket installed, and now I can finally access my 50T cog! Still can't get to my 11T but I will do some adjustments this weekend.

Needs some adjustment on the lower limit screw?

I basically re-indexed the whole thing as it was way off. I have it about 95% dialled in, just some minor tweaks to do but it’s certainly a lot better now

Yea some mistakes were made.

1) don't let Wout up the road.
2) if he gets up the road ensure the gap is small enough that he is caught before the top of the climb.

Having said that Adam and Rafal were cooked. Loosing Juan and Jay was huge.

3) Isaac should have closed the last 20m when they came close to Simon again. That would have shut everything down and taken up a few more KM.

Anyway still a breakthrough ride by Isaac. He has learnt a lot and come out super strong.

You know it's almost time for tdf when the official guide comes out :)

Another great cover like last year.

Just a friendly reminder who the boss is today.
Tadej bossed the Dauphine and the signs are ominous for the rest for the TDF. He can win at will, and he even has to curtail himself to let others get a chance to win. There is only one who can currently spoil the applecart come the TDF of course, Jonas. It will be a long shot for him however, but you never know, stranger things have happened, and it might all come down to the time trials in the end. Still, we should have a cracker of a tour in prospect and cycling in general has improved immensely since the days of Sky... thank goodness for that.

Out on the trail today, ended up having an issue with my rear derailleur, lost my phone and had to backtrack a hundred meters or so to find it and got tangled up on some barbed wire. All in all a good ride, really enjoying the Merida after getting it dialled in a bit better.

Another good win for UAE. They're racking up the trophies and have some amazing young talent coming through.

Actually 3 wins today. João stage and GC at swiss, and Baronchini GC at Tour Belgium. Team now has 50 wins for 2025. Eyeing the record of 84 wins in a season.

Is that with UAE riders or just team members on the UAE sponsored team?

If you mean an Emirati rider, two Emirati riders are part of the development team and occasionally race with the world tour team. The 50 wins so far this year refer to the world tour team, various nationalies, European, American and South American
