Cycling

Because i've noticed the cameras zoom in on protesters, plus there are very nice aerial shots making sure to showcase those large Palestine flags like they do with land art etc.

In races like the TDF cameras tend to quickly look the other way when there are protesters. They tend to not give protesters any airtime. Not so with the Vuelta.

Anyway, terrible race. Not watching this crap anymore. Nasty people. Some of them really want to cause serious harm to all riders.

Oh well i guess the protesters achieved their aim then.

But i think you have a short memory? French farmers blocking the road with hay bales and riders getting tear gassed, shown in full technicolor by the TV coverage?

I said tend to. Not always. Especially in recent years.

And the French organizers aren't afraid to tackle these nutjobs and throw them over barriers as we've seen in this year's race lol.

But no race that I've seen has ever been as bad as this Vuelta.

Perhaps it's semantics but I think it's the French police, rather than the organisers that are the difference. As I said the Spanish police seem very tolerant of this BS.
Someone else who needs to FO is Jorgenson. What we don't need is for IPT to give in to the protests and withdraw. If that happens cycling will become a easy target for groups in the future.

What did Jorgenson do/say? Tried googling but all I can see is that there is a war of words between him and our Impey (for those who don't know, Impey is team Israel Premier Tech's sports director and he's the first ever South African to wear yellow in the TDF :). Awesome, lekker guy ).

Nowhere do they say what Jorgenson said.

PM sent.

How does that help the rest of us?
I don't think he'll mind (not sure why he PM'd instead of posting here :p)... he basically just said the riders had a private whatsapp chat and Jorgensen said IPT should withdraw from the race.

If people like Jorgensen think that the Palestine protesters would simply disappear if IPT leaves then they're idiots lol. They'll be there no matter what.

So I bought me a Avalanche Reflex Sport, and the tyre valves look like some sort of antenna from a remote controlled toy. What is it and why? How on earth do I inflate it?

Presta valves? Can get pumps anywhere really.. If you are planning on going off road then going tubeless will be an absolutely worthwhile uograde for you. (im assuming the bike is tubed?)

If you look at the pic that Jam Sandwich pasted above, you unscrew the small metal section at the top which allows the push pin valve to move. Then you screw it out a few turns, attach the pump, pomp, detach it and screw the poppet valve keeper back in.

Or just watch this Short which explains it better than I ever could.

Tubeless definitely way to go. TLR tyres, decent rim tape, valve, sealant (opinions vary but I prefer Stans) inflate with compressor , shake a bit to seal and away you go. Get the tubeless repair kit for sealing the wider holes that the sealant sometimes does not if you puncture.

Final stage of the Vuelta has been cancelled thanks to Palestine morons.

The UCI should just cancel next year's Vuelta now and stop wasting everyone's time.

But chances are Israel Premier Tech will be the ones getting snubbed next year instead. Can't see the Vuelta inviting the team back next year unfortunately. Not that I think IPT's absence will keep Palestine activists away. They will disrupt the race no matter what.

I see the Spanish PM was supportive of the protesters, that explains why the police let them run wild. Did IPT qualify, or were they invited this year?
