Yeah they do. The team radio inserts have captions now on gcn. The volume is fine though all the time.
There are captions for team radio on SS as well. The volume for everything other than commentary though is totally messed up.

That was awesome from Pello yesterday. Can't believe he turned pro in '09 already. Coming after Woods' win, it's the tour of the old farts at the moment.
Yeah he was also pretty emotional. Gino Mader was one of his best mates and he's continuing a charity fundraising thing started by Gino.

Yeah, Euros for every rider he finishes in front of in each stage. He's racking up quite a debt here....

You'll be surprised to know Vingegaard has not finished behind Pogacar in the third week time trial yet.

Anyway, I think the great Dane will put the tour beyond reach on the Col de la Loze. (that's if he didn't already do it a week before on the Colombier)
If it's really a repeat like last year then Pogacar will crack in the second half of the race.

I still think Pogacar can do it though but Vingegaard is more consistent in the mountains and he has a stronger team.
Vingegaard will most likely win again but come on Tadej!!!!! :p

I dunno, on paper they and their teams are pretty equal. I think what will be the difference is Tadej's lack of racing in the lead up. That will show in the third week.

The difference last year was Jonas and Primoz doubling up to crack Tadej. He spent so much on countering their repeat attacks on the stage to Granon he had nothing left by the time Vingegaard went, and even less on the Hautacam.

Heh, yesterday I told supersport to fix the sound issues and today it's fixed.

You're welcome :p

I say Philipsen will win 2 more stages. Stage 18 and he's def my pick for 21.

Unless there's a sucessful breakaway on 18 of course. Not too sure about stage 19 but it looks more like a stage for a breakaway.

Everyone here, or most of you watching this via DStv ?

Those 2 commentators irritate me to such an extent I have to watch with the sound down.

First time ever had access to full thing so disappointed, as it takes away from the atmosphere & explanations of what's going on.

Next year will look for an alternative broadcast - open to any suggestions.
GCN+ and a VPN. There is UCI XCO and DH on GCN+ also. For Rampage and Crankworx, free Redbull web stream.

EDIT - just seen the conversations a page back ; will try get Eurosport feed next year.

I read in an article that Phil Liggett was commentating for NBC.
The few times I heard him in the past, enjoyed his style.
Anthony is a super boring commentator, always has been, but come on they're not THAT bad. Roche is much, much better even though he hasn't been a commentator for that long and he is a former pro.

What exactly don't you like about them?

Roche's accent confuses me. He's meant to be Irish

Eurosport/GCN for me thanks.

When I trapped in the SS universe I also used to watch with the volume off and follow the live updates on cyclingnews.com

I'm just glad we don't have to listen to local commentators anymore like in the past. Gerald de Cock and Andrew McLean.... Now that was pure torture
