Cofidis team manager hopes Coquard's yellow card will be overturned. I agree with everything he said. Especially the part where he says if you punish Coquard like this for no reason, you'll have to punish everyone and give out plenty of yellow cards every day and in a few days time there will be no one left in the race lol.

Meanwhile, a couple of days an ago a bunch of Cofidis bikes were also stolen. I remember the same thing happened to another team last year. You'd think security would be a bit better.
All recovered:

Tadej did well, but I think it's more a case of Jonas having a bad ride. He shipped a chunk of time today.
Jonas's front wheel choice was odd. Those very deep section front wheels are only marginally faster in ideal conditions - in fact on the Colnago TT bike they are slower, and make the bike super unstable in any cross wind. A mistake from Jonas I think.

But Tadej did spend a lot of time on the TT bike at the training camp in Isola2000, as well as tweaking a few other things in the TT warm up, which was not ideal at the dauphine. Seems all the tweaks paid off.

Im no expert but is that a jonas error or a team error?

Tadej / team made the same mistake in the Dauphine, did some testing, and worked it out. it "looks" like it should be faster, but cycling aerodynamics is voodoo science and sometimes its not easily logical.

Visma and their rediculous helmets lol

Ant Macrossan and Nicolas Roche the commentators again as usual on SS.

Am I the only one giggling whenever Roche says "TT specialist"? Or "incredible TTs"? The way he says it 😄

Neither of them really "inspire" me to want to listen/watch. I sometime put the ITV feed on just to get some proper commentary.

I don't mind Roche. I've talked about how much I hate Anthony's commentary before though. My least favourite commentator after Gerald de Kock. Yesterday was the worst. A million questions in 1 minute.

When they had that helicopter side shot on an open stretch of road with Affini with that helmet I thought it looked like a peni$ on a bicycle. :p
No wonder Vinegar was slow with that thing on his head, but it's more likely Stage 4 took a bit out of him more than we think... it's like he has to do twice the work each time to match Tadej, just my opinion of course.
Tadej is looking good though, but I'm sure he will win the other ITT for sure.

Guy I follow on x posted this cool Remco shot. Awesome wallpaper for your phone :)

So Pogacar's last man for the big mountains, Joao Almeida, was involved in that big crash yesterday near the finish and he suffered a broken rib among other injuries. He was cleared to start today's stage with his broken rib. Not good. Wouldn't want to be him, damn. Will be torture. 😵‍💫
