Any idea as to how I can set up a DSL-G225 to relay DHCP settings?
The option in the modem is greyed.

Do you have another dhcp server on the network?
Yes, I have an SBS server which insists on being the DCHP server, so I want to relay its settings to wireless users.
Is your DHCP switched on on the D-link?Yes, I have an SBS server which insists on being the DCHP server, so I want to relay its settings to wireless users.
Is your DHCP switched on on the D-link?
You need to switch the DHCP Server on the D-Link off as a start.
You would also need to configure it with a Static IP or as a DHCP Client to the other network.
All on the same lan/ip subnet?
With a Billion router I could set up the Billion to relay DHCP settings from another DHCP server without encountering any problems. Obviously, as the ettings are included in the D-link, albeit grayed, which is the problem, the D-link should also do it.
All the reserved settings in the non-D-link were honoured and everything worked.
Thanks for the reply.
That is indeed true. It isn't, but unfortunately that doesn't explain why the settings are grayed. Or maybe it does
Ask their teck support why it's grayed out, 08600 35465, maybe they can shed some light.
Just did, and they are equally puzzled
They will revert once they / if they get a solution.
DHCP is running.
Wtf. That was one of the first things asked.Local network is manually set.
DHCP is running.
I use relaying as an option so as to ensure consistency.
Meantime I have two DHCP servers each servicing a different scope so as not to clash, but with the same gateway, dns settings.
Now you have 2 routers? When did this happen? It doesn't matter whether DHCP is running or not. It's grayed. Both on my router and d-link support's router.
