hey guys, dunno where to put this thread but if theres a better place for it feel free to move it..

I've installed D-Link DCS-950G IP Cameras on a VPN thats been setup between 4 Netgear Routers using dyndns.org to assign hostnames to the routers and i've been struggling for weeks..

The routers all have seperate telkom adsl accounts..

Ok, now the VPNs keep disconnecting and i have to reboot the routers to reconnect the VPNs. I have a pc setup to view all the cameras at a central location thats using the dlink software i received with the cameras. I've recently downloaded and installed the latest viewcam software which works better but the VPNs keep disconnecting..

i'm thinking the routers keep disconnecting because the cameras are creating a lot of traffic but now i dont know what to try to test the system and fix it..

any help would be great, our client is a bastard and my boss is getting pissed off because the VPNs keep dropping everyday..

thanx so much :)

more info on the cameras..
there are 2 routers with 512mbps lines, and 2 cameras connected.
1 router with a 512mbps line, and 5 cameras connected.
and the central pc connected to a router with a 1MBps/4MBps line speed

Welcome to myBroadband sh0t

My first thoughts would be that maybe the line is dropping because the cameras are creating so much traffic.

What is the line speed ?

Is the Line at the 'location' where the cars are installed the same speed as the place where this 'guy' is viewing?
Example: 512k at shop but at home (where the guy is monitoring) is 4mb

Anyone else got any thoughts?

*EDIT*
I see the problem already (or so I think - others are welcomed to comment) but the line speeds are FUBAR!
I'd suggest getting both places to install 4mb lines and then use maybe, unshaped accounts!

Well the guy that has already bought the installation, saw his phone bill and it was already over R2000.. don't think he'll pay for anything more, even though he could afford it
