Right, so now that I have branched out away from the the Witch Doctor for a bit, sorry Jaco :p I felt it only fitting to start another thread where we can all discuss our builds...

From what I am reading, there are 3 popular builds

Lightning Build

Holy Build

Fire Build

So what are you guys using? Which one are you building towards?

Personally Im pretty curious with the Holy Build, and I am working towards that one. havent had much time to play so havent got many items yet, but I like the play-style of the build.

Stand in the middle, suck everyone in, and spam spenders :)

/witch doctors suck :p

I'm rolling lightning on mine,looks awesome and groups of things die fairly quickly. I wanted to swap to fire to try but missing too many pieces to make it viable
 
Brace yourself, wall of text incoming.

Holy build really seems to the best for endgame. Right now for season this is a Condemn build using the Blade of Prophecy and the season only legendary shield which removes it's CD. If you playing non-season, then the holy-shotgun build using the Fate of Fell is where its at for endgame. A big reason why I believe the Holy build ends up being best is because of the healing you get from holy cause passive (1% of all holy dmg to life), really helps with survivability in later T-levels.

Lightning and fire is good too. For my non-season sader I used fire (never found a FotF) and I think the ceiling was pretty much T5. For my season I'm using mainly lightning - not sure how far that will take me.

As you may of read/heard, currently in Diablo the gear you find will dictate your build. All the builds want the full Akhans set, so thats no real determining factor. What will probably determine your current build is what weapon and other non-set pieces you find on the road to the full set. Found a Maximus/Cindercoat/Magefist? Go fire. Find a Schaefers axe/thundergod vigor? Go lightning. Found a BoP/FotF? Go Holy (perhaps the blessed shield build can also fit in here if you find that legendary flail and shield combo).

Crusader has a number of builds that can work for farming T1-4 very efficiently. Find one that works best with your current gear until you have the gear for end game builds (BoP or FotF holy builds). As a side note, I find Crusaders work best when pairing with someone (or someones) that have good single target DPS, saders have great AoE but often Rift Guardians can take some time.

I'll see how far the lightning build I have currently can take me. Right now I can do T2 (especially with a good single target companion). I'm not using Akarats Champ yet, will probably use it when I have an RoRG and I'm not keen to farm one just yet (dont have the CDR until then). I also dont have a Reapers wrap yet. With those items it would be interesting to see what T-level I could do with a lightning build.

I dont mind a wall of text so long as its worth reading...

Why dont you farm your RoRG so you can get the benefit of your boots and legs? I would :)

I would also craft a borne's shoulder (have chest already) if I had an RoRG for the extra CDR. ;)

I guess the biggest reason why I havent farmed the ring or the reapers wraps plan yet is because I dont feel like it. I should probably go for the reapers wraps plan though, but the RoRG can take up time and right now having too much fun doing Rifts and looking for other gear, even if it is T1/T2.

Well my thought on a build and I have tried it and I'm still using it in normal is the Holy build, using blessed shield skill. Items to use is the Jekangbord and Gyrfalcon's Foote! Getting a high attack speed here is key and it a very very fun build! The larger the groups of enemies the better!

Got my reapers wraps last night, and with the bounty bag loots buff hopefully the RoRG will more enjoyable to farm now.
 
Yeo. Basically double damage on my normal attacks :) with 35% crit + 100 odd % crit damage makes it rather nice ;)
 
How about some stats amongst us crusader folk so i can sorta gauge where we are.

Im running T2 atm with

DPS: 480k
Toughness: 7.5m
healing: 32k
+200% crit dmg
42% crit chance

I'm holy build and...

Sheet DPS: 504k
Elemental DPS: 680k
Toughness: 4.2m
Healing: 4600
+251 crit damage
+44.5 crit chance

Seriously need to get my Toughness up a bit but I can roll T2 no issues
 
So ya for my cruss now. I got rorg and moved down to a 1 hander again. Took a 100k sheet dos knock but my attack speed is at 2.00 PS and LoH is around 25k. Makes surviving a lot better.
 
I just switched to a Holy Condemn build for my season crusader, still missing some really crucial pieces but it's still pretty potent.

I have the no cooldown condemn shield build but still 1 piece away from getting my 6 set Akhans set bonus and I also really really need that blade of prophecy...I'm more worried about finding the weapon right now.
 
went back to my 2hander. 1 handers are just sh#t in comparison regardless of attack speed. cant even compare 600k normal hits vs 1.2mil and 1.8m crits vs 4.2m crits.
