D3 Demon Hunters Conclave

Same, its a lot of spam.

So evasive fire + cold rune. Im just wondering if the frost arrows from the turrets along with the krider is on par or better or worse

Cold chakram is probably less spam than cold CA ;)

Probably better since you turrets can also cast EA

Elemental Arrow

Fires a charged arrow that pierces through all enemies in its path, hitting each for 300% damage as Fire

Frost Arrow: damage type changes to Cold, damage increases to 330%. Arrow no longer pierces, instead splitting to 10 additional arrows after the first hit, spraying over 160 degree arc behind the main target, also dealing 330% damage as Cold each. Every enemy hit is chilled by 60% for 1 second.

Evasive Fire
Shoots three piercing bolts at roughly 30 degrees angle to each other, each bolt having 20 yards length. The central bolt deals 200% damage as Physical, and side bolts deal 100%

Focus: Damage type changes to Cold. Instead of backflipping, increases Hatred generation to 7.

Seems veeery dependent on how clustered the enemies are

I've started that process for either an amulet with a decent passive or an ancient amulet with Elem/CHC/CHD/Socket

I can currently make 3 keys

Sorry, missed your message. I'll equip my Danetta's tonight and go hunting for keys.
But otoh I'm a bit dispirited with the whole ancient hunt haha, it's extreme slow going :/

To me the main purpose of the hatred generator is *drumroll* hatred regeneration. Haha. I don't know about you guys but I do the majority of my damage with my CA, not my generator (for example 3 generic white mobs might take 4-8 Evasive shots to die, but I can kill 12 samey mobs with one CA)

Just looking at the above numbers Frost Arrow seems to be a lot better, but in practice it doesn't feel as good as Evasive, maybe because of the Frost/Cold lacking hatred regen whereas with Evasive the cold/7 regen lines up.

With Krider on 3-4 you're going to lose half the generation of Evasive's 7, but at least you're hitting mobs with EA so your skills will be procc'ing better. Also I don't have a Krider to test with, but I don't think you can compare a generic 2700 Krider to a 3200 Ancient bow.

Each sentry firing a frost arrow which splits up, no crafted bow, even ancient can get close to that

Krider should definitely be better. Your sentries will also spam EA as fast as you do and you get the chill effect to proc BoTrapped & CtW. That's of course if you can find an ancient Krider.

With regards to damage-dealing abilities, generators and spenders: I've read a lot of comments that states that it makes no sense that single-target abilities deal way less damage than AOE abilities. Single target abilities should deal 5-10 times more damage than an AOE ability.

I've found with my DH, Barb and Crus that I smash the levels apart until I get to the Rift Guardian, where I stand and tickle it for a couple of minutes until it dies of laughter. It really feels weird, damage-wise.

I'm not saying generators should be single target abilities and thus should do way more damage than AOE spenders. There could be single target and AOE generators and spenders. Logically, I'd say a single-target ability should always do way more damage than an AOE one.

On my physiwhirlrend barb I can comfortably manage 5-6 elite packs at a time, single rift guardian and I always resort to swapping rend for frenzy and pummel away for the next 5 min :(

Agreed, I've lost interest in acquiring an ancient Krider at this point.

The trade off of going from my 2500-3000 Arcane Barb to a maximum 1800-3000 Krider invalidates the purpose of a CA build - hitting hard

Hi all

I have been playing for a while now DH specially the new patch 2.1.2.

I have on my season and non-season char both Ancient Natalya's Slayer 1 hand bow. Attack speed 1.6.
I have picked up last night with one of our myBB menbers a Windforce 2 hand bow. Attack speed 1.4. None season player.

I have tried to craft a Ancient "Arcane Barb" normally the attack speed on these weapons ranges from 1.1 to 1.17.
I have used a lot of components and farmed for them for a day. I crafted 25 Arcane Barb and non came out as a Ancient.
Did also try to craft a Ancient Reaper Wraps. Non was made for me. So i leave crafting for another day.

I have one of these Arcane Barb slightly less the 3kdps Ancients. When i use this weapon it feels to me no damages are done.

If i use my 2.7kdps Krider bow i can see it does more damages the the Ancient Barb 2.8kdps.

As mentioned i have two Ancient 1 handers do roughly 3.2kdps. Then i have this Windforce 2 (3.2Kdps) handed bow this one is jammed packed in doing damages. I did a test run with Nymphnoddle last night. He even said this bow does some serious damages. Normal evasive fire does not do those damages but using CA makes a moerse impact.

My gut feeling currently tells me to have a weapon with 1.4 AS. I feel this is the weapon of choice for me. Does not matter Krider or any other bow as long AS is 1.4 approx. It generates enough hatred.
The 1.6 AS on the bow might just be a tat fast for spending Hatred.
The 1.1 to 1.17 AS are to slow for me attacking and generating hatred.

Coming to the Rift Guardian the all melt like butter specially when using Vengeance SeeThe.

I wish all the DH's could stop dying already...whenever we play T6 in a party I have to help them level again in HC. Make sure your toughness is at least 1m!

Like I said before, the main purpose of hatred generators is to generate hatred. The faster you shoot the more you can generate, BUT it also doesn't help if you generate very fast but don't hit very hard because of the 1h's lower damage range.
A very hard hitting 2h xbow will generate slower but will make up for it by hitting very hard.

Unfortunately I don't have a nice range of ancient weapons to test with yet :/
I picked up a decent 3.2 ancient Danetta (non-Rama'd), but that's not nearly as good as my 3.2 Etrayu, and I haven't seen an ancient 2h xbow. Danetta isn't really worth Rama'ing imo, even though I have some spares.

Regarding the ancient crafting, it took my a whole inventory of items to get an ancient Wraps, luckily it was decent. If it isn't you're looking at a 2nd inventory full :/

General tip I figured out last night, if you're running a lot of normal rifts, change from Vengeance back to Prep->Hatred. The mobs there are so soft that you don't need the Vengeance uber-kill that runs out too quickly and is mostly wasted. I can do instances a lot quicker using Prep.

I really like MfD: Contagion for it's consistent and predictable damage bonus

I've crafted two bad Ancient Reapers so far - horrible rolls - straight to bin - those things chew Blue Mats like nobody's biz
