D3 Demon Hunters Conclave

RoV - Stampede, especially down long hallways.

Korrek. But you're going to spend a LOT of gold trying to roll damage off. 90% of the rolls will yield only damage. I wouldn't recommend it unless if you have thousands of arcane dust and billions of gold.

Hehe do we play the same game? :)
I found it very easy to get rid of...a lot easier than it was to get.

On the Fire vs Calamity, you're using Prep as the 3rd skill...what if you're using Mfd? That should net you close to the 16% then?

Playing N6

How to keep up Hatred.

L) Rain of Vengence.
R) Evasive
1) Straff
2) Wolf
3) Preparation
4) Smoke Screen
Need to know mouse and Keyboard seq.

I normally hold key 1 (Always in use) in for straff and klick right hand mouse for evasive. This keeps hatred up.
Then when is see a large mob i klick lh mouse for rain of Veng. At times i don't see Rain of Veng active on screen even if i pressed the key. This is the time i lose hatred. Now i need to concentrate of clicking lh mouse key to actively activate key.

When i look again no more hatred.

I still use only UE for GR only. N6 i progressed to GR37

Sometimes if you press too many keys (or certain combinations) and there's lag it doesn't register. I have to for example let go of Strafe (my right mouse) to fire Rain (my #4) reliably.

I do the following, I run in and:
1. Cast Rain on enemy(/ies). Make sure to place it well since the radius is small. Also place it to knock enemies where you want them to go. If you can cast rain and there's an enemy then cast it, don't wait for a big mob. Rain does say 95% of our damage on high GR's. Strafe and Evasive is just to keep us moving and to get Rain's cooldown to 0 so it can fire again
2. Press and hold Strafe
3. Press Evasive every time I can fire it, e.g. 1-2x per second (while moving my mouse so that I stay in 1 spot, or move closer or further away depending on what enemies are doing). Evasive times you can shoot depends on your attack speed etc.
4. After firing Evasive 3-6 times your Rain will be back up (it should be back up WHILE your rain is still on your toolbar, giving you a constant 100% rain damage bonus). How many evasive cycles it takes depends on your CDR, Gogok etc.
5. Let go of Strafe
6. Start from top #1 again. Learn how many cycles it takes, then you don't have to look at the toolbar. E.g. I do Rain->Strafe->Evasive->Evasive->Evasive->Evasive->StopStrafe->Rain->Strafe->Evasive...

- Wolf whenever it is up, right before casting Rain
- I don't really use Prep, if you're using it for Discipline bonus then its only an escape skill...you don't press it unless you run out of Discipline. If you're still on low GR's then use something else

I found it hard to roll the +Min-Max <element> damage off my Balefire Caster. It makes sense that the most obvious option for rolling would be damage ranges, and only occasionally something else. I would easily roll 10-15 times in a row without seeing anything other than damage.

I seriously need Prep so that I can spam SS.

If you had to add another MfD, it would also be added additively, making your original MfD contribute even less, and this one would contribute the same amount. You'd be better of using a Balefire Caster in conjunction with MfD on your bar.

You should use this. Mine is on autocast with the Focused Mind rune so that it is gradually applied. This does wonders for spamming SS - Lingering Fog and my survivability. I don't know how you do leaping/teleporting/charging mobs without this.

autocast? you mean you spam it?

Go to keybindings, bind your four ability buttons also to numpad 1, 2, 3 and 4 (or any numpad number key).

My Prep is on 4. I ensure numlock is currently on. Press and hold numpad 4. Press and release num lock. Release numpad 4. The ability is now being auto-cast.

To toggle it off, switch num lock back on. Press and release numpad 4.

I do this with Companion - Wolf too, which is on 1.

As explained by yster above.

I am fortunate to have a macro enabled keyboard so I do these things slightly differently (one key can toggle multiple "autocasts", at varying frequency etc etc)

PS - if you are running RoV Stampede, check with the group you are running if they are ok with it, some classes need mobs bunched up and then RoV scatters them which leads to ->
:p

Ah, thanks you two

Thanks YV for the autocast tip, I'll try it out.

Regarding Stampede, I usually switch to Anathema if I don't want to bounce mobs (especially in GR trials). I don't automatically disable it in groups though, you basically have to figure out if knockback or grouping is going to do the most damage hehe.

*Edit to YV's text:
Bind 1-4 alternates to numpad 1-4
- Start with numlock OFF (not on)
- Press and hold e.g. num 2 and num 3
- Press and release numlock (to switch it on)
- Release num 2 and num 3
- Switch it off by switching numlock off

I also don't really need extra discipline, but I'm trying Smoke->Vanishing on auto which gives me 1/7th invulnerability. In the last instance it probably saved me from dying 2 odd times.

Hello all

What i have seen from my own character.
If i use my own default character to fill on hatred it takes a while.

Last night in a GR rift i don't fire if i don't see the enemy. By game default this is right.
Now even when i get closer to hover my cursor over the enemy it still does not replenish my hatred fast enough.

Now what i was trying to tell you if i fire manually using only my mouse button i replenish hatred 2 or 3 times quicker.
This type of game play takes a strain on your fingers. This must be a bug in the game.
The game should make some sort of alteration to the attack speed you have, Hover cursor or mouse button fire should be the same.

Think other toon suffer the same faith.

I'm trying to decipher what you are saying here... are you implying that you are generating Hatred faster when you use your generators? That's supposed to happen...

You keep casting Strafe, and mix in EFs with RoV.

Hi, that is how it is designed. Hovering does nothing - you have to click for it to generate faster.

It is very hard on your fingers :)

Hello

UE set:
1) Yes what i'm implying if i left click mouse button and hover above enemy it auto fires at a rate.(hatred under this condition does not top up that quick)

2) When i use mouse button on and off all the time (left click) the hatred is filled up much more quicker.

Question is if i use both ways my hatred should be filled up at the same speed. Which is not the case.

Sorry about the riddle.

Hello

UE Set:
Check this under GR condition. Evasive skill 4 times and 2 times multishot and then start from begining again.
Ring focus does not proc all the time? At times it does.

Restraint does proc continuously.

Hello

When I Autocast one or more skills, the my game darn slow?
N6 set, Straf under numlock 1 button.

Is this happening to you guys?

You have to actually hit enemies for the ring to proc - so if your shots don't hit and enemy, it doesn't proc
