D3 Demon Hunters Conclave

Realise this is probably a better place for this.

What do you guys think of a Marauder-Strafe build with these goodies.

Tenclip on Main Hand;
Nats on Off Hand

- give up on Vault -

Multishot on Key 1,
Cluster on Key 2
Strafe on Mouse 2?

What to use to keep/generate hatred up though...


Will re-roll the Primary Damage on the K'Mar Tenclip (natural socket :D)

Just realised that the increased Dex on the Tenclip offsets the loss of Dex on the Pants :D
 
Been reading a bit (little bit) and a Strafe build probably won't be viable for high T's but it looks fun nonetheless. Suspect the Hexing Pants will probably end up on Monk.
 
Strafe really doesn't do enough damage for higher than T2 and requires quite a bit of hatred regen to pull off successfully.

Had great fun with Mr Yan's in T5 with jaco (sheet dps up to 1.8m while it's active - 1.1 when inactive)

Check my current build

Drop sentries, run around, strafe bit - critters die

My brother picked up a K'Mar Tenclip with a socket two evenings ago. Should have taken it from him then. :D

Weird how the damage for that xbow shows higher on your D3 profile than what you posted in the screenshot. Does the extra fire damage you rolled increase the weapon damage as well?

Not weird - I rolled higher damage after posting the screenshot.

Sorry meant to say rerolled holy damage earlier. Never knew that the elemental damage effected the DPS number on a weapon. Always thought it was +% damage and +% attack speed only. Learn something new everyday. :D

2 sockets? thats a game changer!
 
Well, that's actually worked out quite nicely - except for ghost elite packs :mad: - those buggers swoop all over the place so the turrets and pets can't pin them down - then they also do that spirit/life sucking thing - you need tight control and positioning to deal with them and that's really hard to do when you're moving all the time.

That aside, it's huge fun to play and the dps is insane - managed to roll my ammy ChD from 77% to 97% - now sheet dps with Mr Yan active is just under 2 million :D

Next plan - swap out strafe and the Tenclip for Frost Arrows and Danetta's - so that the Frosts Slow multiple enemies (ensuring that the CtW passive remains up), while the Loaded for Bear burns...on 3 sentries, in rotation....hoo..

Only thing that worries me about the above is if the LfB will fire fast enough after the FA since the slow effect is only active for 1sec after hitting a critter.

Will have to do some tests to see

that's a bummer - but also a positive actually - so I can drop Cull for Awareness for more toughness without losing my current main damage dealing ability

'cos my sentries are dealing the damage not me in this current build

It will be 2m+ with the howling wolves
 
Having so much fun with this build.

Now equipped with

Cluster - LfB
Multishot - Full Broadside
Impale with Impact

No hatred generator

So the sentries cycle through the above while I fire Multishot in between spawning Sentries :D

oh yes, and swapped the Tenclip (dropped strafe) for Danetta's so now have Rattling Roll + Trail of Cinders in the mix as well.

:D

Edit : 2.3m with wolf howl :erm:
