D3 Demon Hunters Conclave

I think towards the end of the season we'll see N6 taking the lead again - it's just harder to gear for. I believe that's fair, as it's harder to master the play style.

Aside from that, the builds are somewhat comparable in terms of performance. During the weekend, UE was taking the lead on the leader boards before it was overtaken by M6. I am currently playing M6 again, and it feels really good if you've got your CDR to around 36% for perma Vengeance up-time. I have a crappy-rolled non-ancient 2h xbow and I can easily do a GR60 with it. I did a GR59 in 7 or 8 mins, so a GR 64 might even be possible. It blows my mind.

Eventually, I'll go back to N6 probably - I looooove the play style. Still need a lot of gear, though. Gief more game time!

I'll never be able to do N6 effectively - don't have the time nor the motivation to develop the required play style.

That's because the recommended playstyle by Philosophios etc with Strafe on autocast is nonsense and terrible to play. I'll show you how to do it effortlessly in-game, with only stuff like Preparation and Companion on autocast.

Bind force attack to spacebar, Strafe to RMB, Evasive on LMB and RoV to 1 or 2 or whatever. All you do then is hold down RMB always and when you need to proc Focus and generate Hatred, push spacebar with your thumb and tap LMB. There's no hassle.

Agreed on the N6, its going to be interesting later in the season.

The % if I remember right is for the amount, not the chance to hit. I think that's fixed at 20%. So its cool and necessary, but still remains more of a single target build.

Oh yes, certainly still a single target build primarily. It is fixed at a 20% proc rate, but the damage that it spreads can scale to well into the upper 100's. a 20% chance to do 180% of the damage you just dealt with an OP single target nuker, to the whole area around the mob is a huge amount of dmg.
I believe it hits the same mob again as well. So 20% chance on 180 averages out to about 37% more damage done per impale. In the same way that Crit damage is the only way to scale your upper damage, but it starts to drop off the more of it you get. Area damage is a further scaler that hops on top of it. So both crit dmg and area damage together and in balance, reach higher than crit damage alone.

Anyway, long story short, Impale single target is so OP. Holy crap it does so much damage. One shotting T6 rift guardians is insane.

Hee Hee

Insanely fun

so the DH is supposedly balanced to other classes?

I don't think I have more than 10h on my dh, and I'm critting over 5 Billion

insane

Critting 1 guy for 5 billion doesn't help much when he has 500 friends :)
I haven't checked the leaderboards recently, but DH's aren't on top this season, we're probably middle to bottom (although the GR range difference isn't as big as in other seasons)

It's a bit of a squishy build so far (not complete yet to be fair - no FR, no properly levelled gems, missing the bracer, the cube skills, etc).

Did a GR30 earlier and although I completed it easily enough, I died twice

Heh, Rift Guardians just implode when you hit em with a buffed Fan of Knives and that Impale bonus)

Oh, its super squishy haha, far more than any of the other DH builds. Higher up you really need to vault a lot.
