It's up to you bud. In the end one needs to have fun in what you play / do.
I'm hoping higher GR's will bring some fun for ppl interested.

I'll boost you np.
I've boosted at least 5 ppl this season and it takes about 10 minutes. Faster if you have that bovine thing for the cube.

And you are more than welcome to tag along in farming runs. If Mybb ppl don't join I invite randoms crying for help in the pub communities anyway.

Support role is fun for me. I have just never made one in D3 because it is **** to solo with. And I aint picking up random PUGs as a supporter, no way no how.

I'll bring my legion of DH's. If we're short later on another class and its the only way to level up gems then I'll roll one of them.

Do you guys need a monk? I will do the build as posted in the video of original post...

I am willing to do a Monk, but I am fairly new with him. No better reason than now to learn him :)

Let me know and I will start tonight. SnowWar, will you be albe to boost?

To my surprise, last night a whole bunch of potential Monks pitched up

Helped gear 1
Then power leveled 2 others
and we have you, klipdrifter

Will be interesting to see what comes from this...

That is not good news! I wanted to be the most wanted player in SA... Now you telling me more Monks have arrived? Bullocks I say!

On a more serious note, I need help gearing the Monk. Sitting with level 1 items. :(

If the monk is going to be your Main Klipdrifter, then I can do TX speed runs too. My Wizard is not quite as optimised as Snow's but I have all of the key items, so TX is basically a 3 minute affair for any Wiz with that build.
I will still gear my monk up on the side, to give us all options. And the monk is the easiest to gear, so I should have it in a serviceable state by the weekend anyway.

These are the gearing tips that I am currently following:

With the set requirements, you either have to wear Illusory boots, or wear Leoric's crown. The other gets cubed.
Illusory boots are from ACT3 Cache drops, and they have no <range> to the unique item property. It is just a case of running through mobs. The crown has a range of 75 - 100 that gets maxed if you cube it. So the logical choice is to farm ACT3 caches for a well optimised set of boots. Then the first Leorics that you find, you cube it to have the 100% instantly.

In other words. Don't spend any blood shards on boots at Kadala. Save them for the other slots.
Also don't spend shards on hunting for Solanium until you have everything else. Rather use the upgrade rare recipe in the cube, to hunt for solanium, and only do it once all of your other items are complete. You might get one drop while gearing up, so wait until the last minute to focus farm for it, by spending all of your crafting materials on it.

That's good advice.

It's great that so many people are showing interest! As you can see from the 1st post there are room for more ppl.

The role of the support classes is actually very, very important as it sets everything up. Not only do you need to gear correctly, but you need to time, position and play correctly. Globes = DPS

People also need to understand that not everyone is going to be able to do that job at the same level. The ideal situation would be if anyone can just slot in and run at the same level, but I guess that does not easily happen.
It might be that at the end of the day certain people are preferred as a group or "main" group.

I don't want people to be discourage by this. Things change, people improve and are available at different times. Maybe we can get more than 1 group going. That said I also want to be realistic upfront.

I am hoping all this pushes some of us to get closer with a specific goal, pushed individuals to look at the game a bit different, be a bit more serious about a character, stats and play style.

D3 is a game and should be about fun, but there are more than one way to have fun.

Feel free to post, talk about it and give opinions.

Agreed. I for instance, can usually not spare the required time to be "hardcore" about this type of stuff. I am realistic in understanding that if I am not able to put in the time, I probably wont have the gear. Which is actually why I chose to put myself forward as a Monk. Once the Monk's gear is activated, he can essentially do the job high into the 90's, as long as the skill is present. Basically if you are not making it higher, and all skill levels are equal, it is probably the DPS's gear that is holding you back.

Still though. If my times are proving to not line up with the rest of you enough. And/Or another person proves to have the time and skill to kick ass at the Monk role And there is not more than one team running. I am quite happy to cheer from the bleachers and get my enjoyment in other ways.

We are all adults here. And none of us grew up during the time of "Here is your participation medal, we don't count scores." I just think it is cool that there are lots of people willing to play the support roles here. let's see where the MyBB crowd can push to with some Meta Teams.

Well said,

Last season most of my time was spend on a support monk and I loved it. Maybe it because of all the years I spend as a healing druid in Wow, but I think it was mostly the play style and responsibility that comes with it.

You where the one that decided what to pull, where to pull it, when to skip or move on. Split second decisions that impacts the whole group. Very much the same for ie the Monk this season.

I did dps a bit later in the season and there was times that we did 70's in 9 minutes and other times we struggles to do a 69 in 15 minutes. All that changed was the supports, so yes every member can have a huge effect on the group, not just a dps or one persona at a given time. Sometimes things click and it's tons of fun.

Very excited to see the people coming together in this way. I hope everyone find their place and fun!

I would not mind joining in at all, especially considering the impact paragon levels have. My only issue is my schedule is very haphazard at the moment, not sure if I will be on and at what time :(

Cool added you. We take it as it goes :)

Haha, So the class similarities are not just exclusive to D3 then. Healing Druid was my favourite role. The ways you had to manage your HoTs and spacial awareness were just so much fun. I wont go into it though, like a jaded lover, I cannot reminisce about my Raiding career without feeling a special pang right in the feels.

Hi guys

Just want to apologize for running out on you yesterday evening. Had an issue with a break in at the neighbors house...

Sorry about that, see you over the weekend!

Looks like i'm definitely missing out on some group fun, I've got a sup barb with the gear ready to go I'll be up to join some groups if they need a barb. :)

Seems we have a lot of monks already. I can fill in on dps and then I'll make a wd or crusader, so we have extra options there too.
